For the price I paid, I feel I got atleast 10 times more than that. What a cute and nice hotel right in the centre of everything, yet away from the chaos and noise. Its in Old Quarter and walking distance to everything one would do in Hanoi. The rooms and good for two and has all possible amenities (or even more) you would imagine for a hotel of this level. Being from India, I am used to high level of hospitality even at worst of hotels. But the staff of this hotel exceeded my expectations of hospitality. They are exceptional and will go out of their way to help you and your stay comfortable. They would greet, smile and make you feel comfortable everytime they see you. I have not had such experience even at the best of 5 stars hotel in world. Without a thought, just book the hotel. Mr Long and one more lady at reception were amazing and they surely require special mention. Keep it up guys. P.S: Visited this in Jan 2020, when it was called as Oriental Central Hotel…
Myself and my girlfriend booked to stay here two nights and thought wow, great location and nice looking rooms. When we arrived the staff were lovely, and very welcoming! The lady at the reception was very friendly. However when we were brought to our room we were underwhelmed by the size, enough space either side of the bed for each person and a bathroom. There was no picture of this room on any booking site we looked at for obvious reasons and at €80 for 2 nights we expected a little more. The power also cut out twice, leaving us in darkness for some time. All in all the staff were friendly just very underwhelmed for the price payed and room size.
Overall our stay was ok - Breakfast staff were lovely. Our stay was spoilt by the fact we were stuck in the temperamental lift twice - once at 11:00pm of our first night and had to bang and yell for someone to come. Finally a young man came with a technician and was able to open the door. Not one word of apology or acknowledgement. In the morning we advised the Front Desk about this but heard nothing from any Manager. On departing the hotel I advised the Manager this sort of unfortunate happening should be acknowledged and he agreed and apologised. Overall it was a reasonable stay.
Best hotel I have stayed for the price that I paid. Location wise cannot be any better. Food and shops all around. The best Pho, Bun cha, Banh mi, desserts and even burgers are just a few steps away. Hotel staff were excellent and friendly. Rooms are relatively small but comfortable. All basic amenities available. Wifi fast. Hot water was good. Breakfast is limited but no complaints for the price you are paying. Rooms are not very sound proofed and the shower leaks water. Only minor problems. Otherwise, a really remarkable small hotel that puts many luxury hotels to shame.
The hotel is in a great location and our room was comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I organised transport to Sapa through the hotel and they only work with the better mini-bus operators, so all went really well. Hanoi traffic is full on and you need to take care when walking the narrow streets in the old town. The hotel was an oasis of calm, so highly recommended.
Stayed at the Oriental Central Hotel in Hanoi and could not of been more happy with our accommodations. The Hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter, the staff is wonderful and the free breakfast was excellent. Stayed in a room at the back of the hotel and also in a room in the front by the street. Both were great and surprising little noise from the street was heard. Would stay again and would highly recommend. Bill Vancouver, Canada
We had 5 nights here and had a very comfortable stay. The dekux room we had on high level floor was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The staff there were all very pleasant and very helpful to us. They arranged a trip to Sapa for us and let us leave a day earlier than planned and let us use the changed night for when we returned to Hanoi after our trip. The deluxe room is worth paying a little bit extra for as they are more comfortable. The location is great, close to lots of restaurants and shops but far enough away not to be disturbed by thr the music from the bars. Would recommend this hotel.
Stayed one night. Just left today. I always inspect my bed and towels before I use them. Well under the first pillow was a hair. Gross. Then I go to take a shower. Well inside the towel an even longer one. I couldn’t win. Aside from that - the staff was friendly and the location is great.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was first stop in Vietnam and I wasn’t disappointed. The rooms were large, clean and the staff really friendly. The breakfast was the best I had in Hanoi and was run by a friendly team. The location was in the heart of the old quarter, so I got to really feel the heart of Hanoi and it’s a great area to base yourself. Options for all sorts of street food and restaurants. The only down side was my room was on the floor directly above the breakfast dining area, so it was a little noisy in the early morning. Bed was really comfortable and staff at reception great.
From the moment we arrive, we were treated like royalty. This hotel is clean, located in a great part of town, and supported by a staff of people that go exceedingly beyond expectations. We are so happy we picked this location and this hotel. Breakfast was wonderful and everything about this place every day made it a pleasure to stay yet. When we left, they ran out behind us and brought us bags of food to eat on our way to the airport because we couldn’t stay for breakfast. What hotel does that? I can’t wait to come back and visit and stay at this hotel again.
