First impressions: lovely people with a warm greeting (espec. Dave), no waiting around and professionally organised, facilitated trip to Halong Bay with no difficulties. Gave us a personalised map at every opportunity with their own culinary recommendations. Clean room, toilet did the job (although, beware fellow Westerners: no bog roll down the toilet!) and the shower was fine despite not...

This hostel is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. But the best part about this hostel is the people at the front desk. They go out of their way to help you plan tours, trips, transportation and other accommodation. When we were out in Halong Bay looking to meet up with a tour bus all we had to do was call...

Second time staying here at little hanoi hostel (1) and is always a treat. This time a solo venture but the staff here go above and beyond with their hospitality. Rooms are also great value for money with lots of space and aircon (among lcd tv and fridge). Even got upgraded for the first night!

Recommended to us by another traveller we ended up here for our time in Hanoi. Immediately felt comfortable and at home. We were allowed to store our big rucksacks in a storage room whilst exploring which was more than ideal and they also organised two brilliant trips for us (highly recommend doing a Sapa trip). We were offered the opportunity...

They booked our trip to Halong Bay, and the staff is very friendly! The breakfast in the morning is absolutely delicious! They also take the time to show you lots of places around the Old Quarter that they recommend, they gave us more information, advice and recommendations than any other hostel we've been to in Southeast Asia. Would definitely come...

I ended up staying over a week at Little Hanoi Hostel 1, and the experience could not have been nicer. The staff are incredibly friendly, and always around to help you get a taxi, find a restaurant, book a tour, etc. As another reviewer mentioned, they really go above and beyond. Fresh sheets and towel every day at no extra...

I booked a trek and homestay through this hostel, and the experience was incredible. Took a night bus out to Sapa and trekked through the scenic mountains/farm-land for hours to the homestay. We (group from the hostel) had a fantastic meal and good amount of strong rice wine. Hiked back in the morning to catch a night bus back. Well...

Stayed here several nights and felt well taken care of! The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They offer storage for your belongings if you need to go to Halong bay or sapa overnight, and they allow you to shower even after you check out if you need to wait for the night train. The whole experience from pickup...

We were only one night, but the room (for 2) was big and clean and the workers friendly! Breakfast was ok, and one must also consider the hostel location (better for visiting western part of hanoi like Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, but not directly in the Old Quarters like other hostels...)
