This hotel is right in the middle of the Old Quarter. Just a block away is the beer street, filled with restaurants and small bars. Being right in the middle of everything is either perfect, or a little too hectic, that probably depends on the person. I found it charming, I think it was too hectic and a little scary to walk around for my dad who was traveling with me. Also, getting a taxi in or out is slightly more difficult because of the location in the middle of so many small streets.
We had drinks on the rooftop bar after dinner, which was my primary reason for choosing this hotel. It was very pleasant, not rowdy or too crowded. We had good service from staff. Drinks are pricey of course, you are paying for the rooftop more than the drink itself. Nothing outrageous though. Nice comfy sofas to sit on, and a nice breeze.
We had transportation arranged from the airport by the hotel. Everything worked fine, and it was a very professional driver.
Breakfast was decent, not an enormous selection, but enough and good quality.
The man who helped us with baggage to our rooms, I think his name was Tranh, was extremely nice and helpful! He gave us many recommendations for places nearby to eat local food. He was even so kind as to personally walk us around the corner to a pho restaurant! One in our group does not eat beef, so we didn’t wind up staying to eat there, but I really appreciated his helpfulness, and I was sorry we didn’t eat there. I hope the manager will give him an extra thank you from us!
Overall I would recommend it, although I stayed a different night closer to the lake, and preferred that location a little more.

We stayed in a twin room which was very well air conditioned and comfortable. They also have a rooftop bar/restaurant for breakfast or evening drinks which is great to get away from the chaotic traffic.
Good variety for breakfast including a number of asian dishes, a continental section and hot food station that served eggs made to order and soup noodles.
We stayed on the second floor. At night you can still hear some of the noise from the streets but we weren't too bothered about that. The hotel was very clean.
I must highlight that Mark was extremely helpful from day 1. We arrived here at 12 and luckily our room was ready so he checked us in early. On checkout, we forgot to book transport at the other end in Da Nang so Mark helped us to contact the other hotel to arrange transport from Da Nang airport to our next stay. Thank you very much Mark for your help.
Overall a pleasant and affordable stay. Highly recommend it!

Very friendly staff had a room with a balcony overlooking the busy street below fascinating to watch all the people passing by accompanied by the sounds and smells of lots of local eating places on the street. This was a very nice place to land in Hanoi. Check in was easy, room was very comfortable (they even set it up for the 3 of us) and the breakfast was delicious everyday and it was served in the rooftop dining room with great views of the neighborhood. As 3 women traveling, we felt safe and the location was very central to all we wanted to see. Highly recommend!

Great location at the heart of old quarter, am a repeat visitor, last came in 2019. The service is excellent by the receptionist team, smooth check in and even prepared breakfast bento for us to takeaway as we had an early flight for checkout. Nice touches such as welcome drink and towel, Manager Quan was also proactive to ask for feedback and helped to carry my luggage when leaving the hotel. Professionalism at it's best. Keep up the good work everyone! I really enjoyed the rooftop bar and decor. Also a nice gym as well. Bathtub was nice and one feeedback, to set up partition for the shower area away from the toilet bowl to prevent water spillage.

I had an amazing experience staying at MK for my 3 nights. The hotel was clean, had all the amenities I was after. The buffet breakfast was small but had a range of selections and the food was good. The size of the rooms are expected for the location and the location itself was close to all the touristy spots around Hoan Kiem. There are plenty of amazing restaurants right outside or between 5-20mins on foot and very easy access to the nearby night markets. It is also located a convenient 30min-1hr car ride from the International Airport and offered an affordably priced taxi transfer to and from. The hotel is also located in the middle of walking street which will be organized every weekend. The atmosphere of the place is bustling and will not for you if you are looking for a quiet stay. But for my short trip in Hanoi, its definitely a perfect choice with an affordable price.
The staff hospitality and service was amazing. I had requested some last minute (1 day prior) changes to my room booking and although there were minor issues with securing the room on the day due to internal circumstances. Manager Quan gave me a quick tour at the when we checked in and generous show me all the places I should pay visit. He also support me throughout the trip. What a great service, worthy of 5 stars.
Would definitely recommend staying here if you have the budget to and I will return to this hotel again in future visits.

I stayed in the MK Premiere Terrace suite. The room was very comfortable, but make sure you have earplugs for at night because the street noise does come through. The staff was exceptional and very friendly, helping me to book a Halong Bay day trip, giving me suggestions of activities in the area, and allowed me late checkout since my flight wasn't until the evening. The included breakfast was tasty and everything I tried from the onsite restaurant was delicious. Really convenient location to walk to Hoan Kiem lake and other old quarter activities.

The "MK Premier Boutique Hotel" is a small 4* hotel right in the middle of Hanoi's old town (Hang Buom Street). Hoan Kiem Lake and many sights are within easy walking distance. There are numerous shops around the hotel and the night market is just around the corner. The hotel has an open café with delicious coffee right at the entrance. Check in/out was extremely friendly and hassle-free. The reception team and all hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a nice roof bar where you can have a drink in the evening. We booked a "Suite Balcony". The room was large and clean and had a nice terrace with seating. Only the bathroom is a bit small, which is why the sink is outside the bathroom, which didn't bother us at all. The room has all the amenities of a 4* hotel. The restaurant is small and the breakfast selection is relatively limited but you can always find something delicious for breakfast. We felt very comfortable and well looked after in this small hotel and the location is simply great! Would recommend without hesitation and would go back again.

I have checked and saw that we still have a few rooms left on given dates. As a family of 5, you will need at least 02 Deluxe Rooms for US$60/room/night (no window or small internal window) or 02 Luxury rooms for $65/room/night (big window).
You can leave your luggage while going on the Sapa tour. We will provide a luggage tag. Coming back from Sapa on 23rd will be at a very early time and we may not have rooms for you to early check-in on the date. Since we have kids, may I suggest you to book at least one room on the night of 22nd to guarantee a room to stay on early 23rd?
MK Hotel and Pao's Sapa Leisure Hotel are sisters, we are under one same owner. So I would like to suggest you to stay there during your trip to Sapa. You can check their official website for more info.

Not to my recollection. To me this isn’t a deal breaker. The staff where awesome, the breakfast was great (served at the roof top) and the roof top bar was great. The massage centre in the basement was awesome and again the staff great. I know what I would rather. Sorry turn your own bed down and enjoy the rest of the motel for what it has to offer.
There are more places to choose from in the Hanoi area.
