At the beginning of our trip through Vietnam my husband fell ill and we had to spend extra time in Hanoi. The Anise Hotel were very empathetic to our needs and gave us a lovely large room with a balcony for him to recover in. The staff were always there to help in any way that they could. Always friendly... More

I just spent 8 nights at this hotel on a work trip - i do ag development work and travel frequently to Asia and I have learned to lower expectations when it comes to hotels. i have to say that this place exceeded my expectations. My in-country colleague booked this for me and I was a bit worried after reading... More

Firstly the hotel does offer a feedback form which unfortunately I did not have time to fill in so apologies to them for airing my views on here. The hotel is nice and the room was clean, modern and contemporary. The staff had laid out rose petals in a heart shape on the bed and in water in the sink as... More

We arrived very early with our family of 4 after a 12 hours flight. Staff was expecting us, luggage was stored and we were told to wait two hours for our room. We decided to go to the center (south), but went completely the opposite way (north). (Now I remember the IPhone has a compass...). We had breakfast with nems... More

The good: The room was clean and tidy, king single beds, good breakfast, good location, polite helpful staff, close to the major attractions and the old quarter. The bad: very noisy spot, beds were extremely hard, bathroom was tired.

On arrival we were greeted by the lovely staff. Our bags were taken to the room, which was lovely. Great view, beautiful sparkly bath!! We were front facing & yes we arrived after a long flight thinking we couldn't sleep, but the double glazing & jetlag was enough. The front desk were so helpful, guiding us with restaurants, taxis, our... More

We spent 3 nights at the Anise hotel during our first visit toVietnam. Location is very good, you can walk to Ho Chi Minh compound, and the lake (in the opposite direction) in about 15 minutes. Breakfast was not bad, usual things, although given the way the tables are predominantly grouped in fours there isn't enough for everyone and we... More

...avoid the street facing rooms if you just landed, coming from far away and in need of sleep! We stayed here for 3 nights and asked for another room after the first night. No double glazing in this particular room strangely (the second one had it) and traffic like Rome, but supercharged! Having said that, the room itself, no 901... More

We arrived late after 3 flights from Scotland and were greeted by very friendly, welcoming staff who kindly offered us a room on the 9th floor as I had requested a quiet room. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and overall we were very happy with this hotel.
