I stayed in the Nam Phuong resort yesterday and this is the worst hotel I ever stayed, because time limited for such a short trip so I decided go somewhere close to Ho Chi Minh and I didn't have time to check carefully this hotel, I only see beautiful pictures from their website and thought it will be a great... I travel a lot for work and have stayed in many resorts that are just out of the main city areas. This was a $15 taxi ride from the airport. I was traveling with a friend whose family live near by so this was a great choice. the room I have was very well maintained with updated amenities. The bed... More

I stayed in a VIP room and the room needs maintenance. The walls in the bathroom have large gaps in the wall corners from the ceiling halfway down the wall that cannot be fixed with a simple patch job. There were several cracks in the ceiling too that cannot be fixed with a simple patch job either. The breakfast buffet... More

I stayed at this resort since I had business in Binh Duong. Phuong Nam isn't in HCMC and it a pretty costly taxi ride to get there and back, however, on the surface it is a nice secluded spot that's away from the noise and bustle that Vietnam is. Breakfast wasn't bad. It consisted of a buffet with a mixture... More

This resort is located around 20 km away from Ho Chi Minh. The resort is very quiet and with nice swimming pool and lake garden. The restaurant decoration is very nice and serves a very good vietnamese steamboat, grill chicken, etc. The distance between reception and room is 5 mins walk and good for someone looking for room in forest... I think this was a very nice resort in it's glory days, now it's old and needs a lot of work! We went here on our trip to have lunch which was good (seafood and fish). The pools are nice but need work and the sunbeds are from wood which is broken and old and does not have pillows. Lunch... More

I came 3 times to Phuong Nam Resort and everytime I have many problems with the service. First time, in the morning it was raining a lot, so I called reception to ask if its possible to have breakfast in the room (because the restaurant is 200mts away from the rooms and have to walk outside). The receptionist answers me... More

The grounds and restaurants are very beautiful and well-kept. Reception and house-keeping staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and very spacious. Unfortunately, the restaurant service and cooking were pretty bad. The breakfast buffet was fine, but go elsewhere for lunch and supper. There are two clean swimming pools. nicely situated, but the loungers are wood, with no pillows. We went... More

What a great place to stay just outside Ho Chi Minh City limits. We booked through their website and had one of their taxis pick us up at the airport. The location of the resort is through an alley which looked deceiving but has around the clock security guards. We stayed with our two kids, had fun in the two... More

If you have planned to do a stop over in Ho Chi Minh (more commonly known as 'Saigon') for more than 2 days, then take the opportunity to stay at this excellent resort located about 15 km outside CBS. I stayed there in July 2008 for a full week and it was a decision i don't regret since Ho Chi... More
