Don’t expect a clean environment here. The lobby at the first place is not a pleasant one adding to the breakfast spot and the room too. I evidence the housekeeping lady who takes the towels from the bathroom to wipe the bathroom mirror n sink that’s so disgusting. Not much quality choice in the breakfast menu the salads are not fresh n the bread is fail. The receptionist n staff around barely can communicate with us n not friendly too

We stayed at this HCMC hotel however it had been the least favourite out of all our Vietnam hotels. There are lots of rules which seem a bit over the top.
Every day you must present to the front desk to get your card reactivated which seems bizarre.
If you are located on the first floor then chances are you will hear the buffet breakfast from your room. The doors are paper thin.
Some rooms have a wall right next to the window preventing any natural light, some rooms don't even have a window.
The buffet breakfast is small and gets quite congested with the amount of guests, especially if you are part of a tour group. They only have a 2-slice toaster so you can be waiting quite a while for your toast. Additionally, there is only one lift meaning it does take some time to get to your floor.
Myself and another person in my group both had our snacks taken from our room during cleaning, apparently because they were opened and binned (they were not even half eaten). We were both super sad about this.

I believe this is now the Jovia Hotel. There are many positives: the location is excellent near Ben Thanh market and all the main museums. It is also near some excellent craft breweries. The staff are very helpful. Rooms are smart, modern and very clean. The main negative for us was the bathroom- but of course I am not sure whether this is the same in all rooms. The room looked very modern with a big free standing bathtub. However there is only a hand held shower and if you do want to use the tub it is not possible to switch from shower to tap. Also the plug is not secure so the water is constantly running away. This means that the only way to shower is to stand in bath while holding shower. Breakfast is ok although coffee not great for simple western tastes!

Only location of the hotel is good. All other things are very far different with photos posted and terrible.
The first sight when you come, you might think that the hotel closed because no light, no one in the door and reception.
Very dirty bathroom. You can see a million of fungus/worms under the sitting toilet. I was afraid and can't make a pee or bath after a long travelling.
No hot water, you can catch a cold if having bath in the evening. Hotel technical staff (also the receptionist) refused to help you the second time after he said: "the water is quite hot already".
Only 01 unfriendly receptionist and 01 guard. Manager was arrogant when we raised issues.
I have to check out in the same day (08:00 pm) and move to another hotel.

There were so many problems in so many ways. False ad for executive room on Agoda. The room says nothing about a window, but the picture shows a window, but taken at night. What it doesn't show you is that there is a brick wall and what sounds like construction behind the wall. Secondly, breakfast is very tiny and not fit for a vegetarian. My daughter asked if she could have the bowl of Pho without the broth and meat. She is a strict vegan. She used a translator to help also. They brought her a regular bowl of Pho, and we thought without meat. She asked several times in different ways of the broth was meat based. They said, "No!". After eating most of the noodles, she found pork in the bottom of the bowl. Sometimes, an apology is acceptable, but this time, it was not. I didn't ask for any compensation at first, but the excuses were terrible. I then asked if we could stay in the room for a later checkout, and that was denied. They had no intention of fixing any of the problems at all.

I was placed in a room adjacent to very loud construction work. No one should’ve occupied that room. There was literal jack hammering for the entire day. When I talked to the front desk they said they were aware of the problem, that they had already had many complaints, and that the jack hammering should stop by the evening.
My room was literally up against the wall that was being jack hammered. My view was a concrete wall located 8 inches outside my window. Also, the air conditioner did not adequately cool the room.

This humble property has provided me something that I do not get, even from the fanciest chain, sincerity.

I’ve done the Hiltons and Ritz but what you get from Jovia is the willingness to serve.

Clean, simple and of course, honesty.

Do not take their sometimes abrupt one word answers for anything else except colloquial friendliness.

Coupled with
- value for money
- fantastic location
1. walking distance
2. 24 hours store next door
You’ll never go wrong with Jovia.

And I applaud their effort to provide employment to the less abled, as all their housekeeping staff are hearing disabled.

Thanks to the team@Jovia. You have given me the rejuvenation I was looking for in this trip.

Special shoutout to the door guy (you can’t miss him, this bald chap who holds the door for you).

Thank you for the kind gesture (he simply noticed that I was parched and automatically offered me a drink). The tip I gave you was a testament of the great service you gave.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The room, and hotel generally, is run down, dirty and unwelcoming. It needs a refurb and doesn't match the photos online.

Our room was dark EVEN in the bright morning sunshine. Probably because the window faced a brick wall six inches away. See photos.

We could probably have lived with this, the location is good, and the bedding was clean... BUT, we heard loud scurrying noises behind the wall next to our bed. An animal was running up and down inside.

We checked out early. A bad hotel.

Great accomodation in the heart of district 1. We walked to Market and post office. Lots of great places to eat
Room was lovely and clean. Serviced daily. Safe is not bolted to anything however. I just used my lockable suitcase. Breakfast was average not a great deal of variety and only went until 9.30am.
Pool was warm and not that clean. Only 2 day beds.
Great view from room.
Would recommend and stay here again.

Ideally positioned, good sized clean rooms, and friendly staff.
The rooms are huge and the bed was huge. Big, fully equipped bathroom too.
The market is a street away, meaning access to a variety of restaurants.
The breakfast options may be limited for some, but perfectly acceptable to me.

With the suite it says benifit- soft drink or beer. Is that just one drink?

You have to pay for the consumption of drinks. Generally, 2 bottles of water are free. Best you ask front desk.
