Stayed two nights coming into Ho Chi Minh City on the way to REI Adventure tour in Laos and Cambodia, and also one night before my flight home. The hotel is just off District 3, between the airport and downtown (District 1). Ma Maison is a 13 room French colonial hotel built in 1945 and sits in a back alley/street...

I booked two nights at Ma Maison and was very pleased with my choice. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the rooms are impeccable. There are thoughtful details, like a universal plug adapter, and the air conditioning was strong. The breakfast, included with the stay, was delicious and served inside or on the lovely terrace. Tom was especially...

We spent three nights at ma Maison and loved it. To begin with the place is squeaky clean. Like many places in Vietnam you take off your shoes inside the building. When you do that at Ma Maison your feet can never feel any dust at all. Bedrooms are well-kept, bathrooms are very clean. The owner is almost always there...

Owner Ha and staff including Tom are extraordinary hosts. If you prefer B&B's to the better known large chain Hotels, stay here. Hotel is a quaint tastefully converted French era home. Both the Vietnamese and Western breakfast options were cooked to order and delicious. Day tours they arranged for me were professional and well worth the cost. Air conditioning worked...

The hotel is tucked away down a little side street. What a wonderful welcome my husband and I received from Long. Tom is just a treasure. The ambience, the style of the hotel is great. Worth every penny or VND. Thank you and we will be back.

We stayed in a range of properties during our time in Vietnam - from the homes of tribal families in the mountains near Sapa to mid-price hotels in Hanoi, Hue and Hoi An to a more fancy beachside resort in Phu Quoc - and of all this was my favourite. Why? Fascinating location down a small largely residential road that...

Stayed at Ma Maison for our last 3 nights in Saigon recently and greatly enjoyed it. Tucked away in an alley, the hotel was perfect for those who want to stay in local areas and still have access to the city center. The service provided by the entire staff was incredible and the owner, Ms. Long, attends to your every...

A very peaceful oasis within the bustle of Ho Chi Minh. The location in a more local area of the city is wonderful. Great to walk around and explore around .The staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms spacious and clean. Good place for the worth it price.

We arrived at our accommodation after leaving our Intrepid tour and couldn't have picked a more perfect place to end our holiday. We stayed with Ha, Long and their wonderful team - Tham and Truong (Tom and John) and it was bliss for 7 nights. They treated us like family. The accomodation is boutique styled, very comfortable and out of...
