Check in was a disaster. We only booked the venue because it offered a 10:00 checkin facility. We had an early flight from Kuala Lumpur and it suited us after a quick over night stay there. I even checked in online the day before on the ‘BonVoy’ App. (Yes I am a member but not kryptonite status, which seems the only level of membership that matters!!) The room wasn’t ready and told an hour or so to wait in the club lounge (again I’d paid for this privilege) We asked for a couple of glasses of champagne due to the inconvenience, but after being told by SIX different staff, no chance! The last visit even brought out a print out of my entitlement. Having said all that the lunch we had was great, the service also good, and a decent room. COME ON BONVOY YOU COULD HAVE DONE BETTER!!!
We went there to rest & recuperate. We ended up awed, refreshed & totally recharged! Vinpearl is iconically visible in HCMC. The view is unparalleled & spectacular beyond words. Vinpearl boasts of a gorgeous pool, a spacious & well-equipped gym & a decadent spa. Impeccable service and special mention to the F&B staff(Thao, Vy, Thanh Vy) who never failed to please. We had the honor of meeting Executive Chef Le Trung, who served a special bowl of ‘Landmark’ pho which boasted of a delectable broth made from Wagyu beef, brisket & oxtail which was boiled for 48h. It was simply the most divine pho we’ve ever tasted in & out of Vietnam. Being cocktail fans and having visited many of Asia’s Top 50 Bars, we were most keen to taste the numerous concoctions offered by Sky Bar. Needless to say, we were pleased & thrilled. Vinpearl delights and transcends in every possible way…a truly unforgettable heavenly experience.…
The building and rooms are architectural gems! Fantastic views over the city from so many perspectives. Rooms are beautifully appointed and very luxurious. One of the best features is the staff. They got to know us quickly and provided excellent personal service. I had a question at check-in that required a little research to answer, but then a few minutes later the friendly staffer greeted me as I was waiting for an elevator and provided the answer. Likewise the Concierge staff went above and beyond to provide some transportation services I needed. If you're into shopping, there's a large and beautiful new shopping plaza on the lower levels of the building, along with some very nice restaurants. Overall, this is a stunning property with service to match.
Very good hotel with an amazing view over the city. The room is big, very clean, with all facilities for a 5 stars hotel. The breakfast is very good, a lot of choices, all very fresh and of good quality. The spa is also excellent and pool amazing at 47 levels. Services are not quite at the expectations for such a beautiful hotel. When we arrive, without any checking in their system, the lady from reception inform us that our reservation is not exist and maybe we have to check in another location. After a few hours lost ( we just arrived after 11 hours of flight) and discussions with our travel agency, there was one very nice gentleman at the ground entrance of the hotel, who start to check and he found that in fact our reservation was very clear and correctly made it.
As a solo male traveler, the Vinpearl Landmark 81 was a very good choice for my four-night stay (December 6-10) in HCMC, the third stop in my 30-day trip to Southeast Asia. The hotel generally occupies the 47th through 71st floors of the 81-story building. Guest rooms are situated as high as the 63rd floor I was told. I would have preferred to stay at a hotel in District 1 (the center of HCMC, where all the sights are located); however, the uniqueness of the Vinpearl (given its height) is the reason I stayed at the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel recently became a member of the Marriott Hotel program, to which I am a member. And despite the traffic, it generally was a short GRAB ride into District 1. But note, GRAB drivers have trouble finding the hotel's entrance. I was assigned a room on the 62nd floor (#6205), which had a fantastic view of HCMC. I was thrilled. The room is small, but it is very modern in design, and it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bathroom was very nice, too. The view is just spectacular. I had access to the Executive Lounge on the 71st floor. Staff in the lounge are fantastic. The lounge is very nice, although it's a bit small, and I found the breakfast food options to be very limited. I decided to eat breakfast in the main restaurant, which had more food options, both Western and Asian. The lounge also offered small food bites and drinks in the evening; however, I didn't partake. I ate two nights in the main restaurant; while the food was good, I found the service to be disorganized and slow. The views from the lounge and the main restaurant are impressive. To my dismay and disappointment, there is no official bar at this hotel, yet. Apparently, one will open soon. The hotel's gym was generally okay. Given the size of the hotel, I expected a more comprehensive and larger gym. Nonetheless, it has a few different body part machines, dumbbells, benches, and cardio equipment, so I was generally able to keep up with my workout routine. I also had a wonderful massage one evening in the spa. Although I did not use the pool, the pool area is very impressive with the infinity pool on the 47th floor. At ALL times, staff were accommodating and very pleasant and were immediately attentive to all my requests. Although English is spoken, I had difficulty understanding them most of the time; however, I had this problem throughout SE Asia. Also, most wear masks throughout SE Asia for Covid prevention, I presume, which is good, but, it made communication more difficult. All-in-all, a very good stay, despite some restaurant service issues, lack of a bar, and a smaller-than-expected gym.…
I had booked this hotel for a special occasion-to celebrate my birthday- and I was more than happy and satisfied at the whole experience than I could expect. First, my room was upgraded to a higher floor suite with a breathtaking view of Saigon below. The view was worth everything that you may have paid. but more than the view is the amicable attitude and service that I received from the staffs-from Front Office manager Van Cu to the housekeeping staffs and those like Loi (if remember his name correctly) who works at the Executive lounge. Especially Van, I have been very impressed with the personal and professional care that she had offered. She had made sure that I had a memorable experience and sure I did! The management and staffs working there have really upheld the highest standard of the distinguised Autograph collection.…
No complain. Nice room, nice bathroom, nice and quality towel. Awesome staff from both front desk and f&b. The breakfast is awesome. staff is very well trained and polite and helpful. Amazing view from room. Very nice pool and gtm. All are good.
This is a spectacular and very tall new hotel slightly out of the city centre. It’s around a 10 minute taxi ride from the centre, so certainly not within walking distance of the main attractions. However, what you get in return in a serene experience looking down on the whole city. We stayed on the 59th floor in a corner room with truly amazing views. The room was comfortable with very modern controls. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The 48th floor pool is a reasonable size with a few sun beds and has infinite views of most of the city. It was so good to get away from the constant noise of the city centre. There is a bar with an outside terrace on the 75th floor - it’s cooler up there so bring an extra layer. Breakfast was a pretty high standard. Overall - good value for the experience you get, and very different from the downtown hotels.…
If you are looking at hotels in Ho Chi Minh City then look no further than the Vinpearl 81 hotel. I have been a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member for 10 years and the Vinpearl hotel is in my top 3. It excels in location, luxury and above all the staff attention to customer service. I will be a returning guest.
Excellent on all services and accommodations . The 66 floor restaurant staff is one of a kind service. Jenny (Quynh Nhu) service break fast in the AM . She is super accommodating. Linh ( the sunny side up egg man) he understood how I like my style of eggs. Mai (noodle and crepes station) she would recommend noodles of the days, according on how your morning is . Such consideration. Minh Anh ( dinner in the evening) she was more concerned on how properly caring of guess and how professionally on responding and ensuring the experience is above and beyond.
