This place was fairly close to the main part of town and it was easy for our Grab drivers to drop us off and pick us up since they had their own separate driveway. The breakfast every morning was pretty great…they had an all you can eat pho stand which I loved. A soup may not be for everyone first thing but you will change your mind once you have it. Staff was quite attentive and helpful. They spoke english and printed tickets out when needed. The rooms were very small however…tiny tiny bathroom that leaves no privacy since the wall is kinda see through. Walls are thin and we could hear a party happening next door at midnight. Good for a short stay overall or for one person .
If you read the former reviews to consider whether booking a room at WINK is a wise choice? You will read both positive and negative ones about the hotel's facilities and services. Your decision will depend a lot on your individual taste and needs. For a travel lover like me, the good mattress and blanket from the high-end Catherine Denoual brand are a rare thing that is hard to find in a mid-range hotel. Wink will guarantee you heavenly bed experiences and most importantly a good night's sleep ^^! Isn't the ultimate purpose of a hotel to sell you a good night's sleep? I highly appreciate the neat, clean and colorful contemporary art design at WINK. I find that WINK has well-preserved the typical culture of Saigon, but it is also innovative, playful, and artistic. According to Binz’s lyrics: “Mang chất đường phố về tận lối nhỏ”, at every corner of WINK I hear-see-feel the street style, the generosity and liberality of Saigonese. But you know what, the amazing thing that keeps customer hearts staying with WINK is the WINK GUIDE team. Each of them has different personalities and unique talents. They serve customers with their enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, affection and joy. Honestly, I laughed like crazy and had many memorable memories at WINK. All thanks to the great work of Wink guides (they’re now my friends). LETTY: The guide with light hair (style her hair with a Teddy bear-shaped or fur clips). I really like hearing her voice. That sounds sweet and gentle! Letty enthusiastically helped me during my time at WINK, she even gave me gifts and wrote me an adorable farewell letter! That girl is emotional and understanding. Thank you so much, Letty! You deserve to have 10 lovers! PHAT: The guide with “broccoli haircut” and cute Korean eyes. I think Phat is a bit introverted (I don't know if he cries quietly? :)) ), but he’s quite open to share his stories with me. The more I know about him, the more I treasure him. I wont forget delicious drinks that he made for me, especially the last milk coffee he meticulously prepared according to my own preferences before I checked out. May the talented, hardworking and family caring man like him soon achieves his cherished dreams! LAM: The guide with the cheek dimple and impressive tattoos. Contrary to his playful appearance and carefree working style, Lam is the knowledgeable guide who has interesting things to talk about. Perhaps he read a lot of books, so he could sympathize with others easily and has many captivating stories to share with customers. No wonder there were many guests willing to stay up all night long just to chat with him at the bar! Other customers often said that: "Lam is the best bartender ever". Yeah!!! Wishing Lam a great life filled with laughters and fascinating experiences. Please remember to continue to read good books as always! TRACY: The small guide with shoulder-length hair. Thank you for supporting me during my stay! Tracy enthusiastically guided and introduced me all about Wink in the early days of arrival. She worked effectively and helped customers to solve their issues quickly. No offence, I hope that she’s able to "slow down a bit" to enjoy life and open her heart more to connect with other people deeply and closely! ^^ I wish you success in your new step ahead ^^! Good luck, Bae!!!!! TRINH: The highlight hair guide with ravishing eyes. Trinh is knowledgeable about wine and coffee making. As Im an animal lover, she often shares a lot about her pets with me. I’m dying for hugging her FAT rabbit someday. Wish Trinh can go further in her sommelier field! Remember to take care of your health and love yourself more. Take care, girl! TRUC: The athletic guide has a blunt way of speaking. He is always friendly and funny. I felt safe and warm when I stayed next to him (like my older brother). Thank you Truc for helping me and making me laugh a lot hahaha. Wish you will gain great experiences at WINK and succeed in building the family's "Empire" in the near future! CHRIS: The guide leader with golden hair like the autumn in Levitan's paintings. Chris is a super knowledgeable, sensible and multi-talented person. If you had the opportunity to attend the event with live music at WINK, you’d be amazed because the Wink guide can transform into a professional DJ! Chris would be a good manager, I believe in that! Wish you can develop a great career while maintaining a burning passion for music! Quan: Last but not least, this is the cutest team manager on earth, only at WINK you could see a manager wearing Real Madrid uniform walking back and forth! That's him. I'm happy for WINK to have such a cool manager who not only could speak English with an excellent American accent but also has a deep understanding of FB and sports. Moreover, he is good at conquering people's hearts. Always be cool, brother!…
Love the energy of the team, from their front desk to the restaurant. I stayed at this property back in September 2022, obviously the experience stuck in my head and i still feel like I owe you guys a good review. Thank you Tony and Dustin, my Wink guides for helping me with my breakfast and heavy luggages. Thank you to the late evening front desk team for recommending a good Vietnamese restaurant nearby that helped me get through the night after a tiring day. Thank you everyone for making my business trip so smooth even we haven’t fully recovered from pandemic.
There are almost no flaws with my stay at Wink. The hotel represents the new gen of hospitality in HCM, customer-oriented, language ability, the hotel facility, location, foods, and counting, always makes me want to come back. With its reasonable room rate, I can recommend this hotel to my friends easily. Thanks to all the smiling staff there. Until we meet
wow. Trying to describe this place. innovative refreshing trendy- the best i can come up with is "upmarket youth hostel" v helpful staff(they let me check out late to catch my flight to Oz.) Walk into room. Its different - a precipitous view of Ho CHi Minh at the end of my bed. Ok might sound silly but the blinds have got a metal bar at the bottom perfectly flush with the floor which means blackout ie dont get beam of sunlight in the morning waking you up (I could think of worse ways of waking up tho :-). Its just this attention to detail ! Ill be back
4-night stay Upside: (1) Attractive room rate relative to other 3-4 star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. Rate included a simple buffet breakfast, which included hot items (pho, fried eggs), pastries, salad, fruits and coffee/tea. (2) Room was fresh with efficient air-conditioning, comfortable bed, rainforest shower in bathroom, blackout blinds, and fast and free wifi. Better than expected at this price point. (3) Hotel has a small gym and a self-service laundry room. Nice amenities at this price point. Downside: (1) Due to heat & humidity, and sidewalk & traffic conditions, it's a bit too far to walk to the downtown core where many tourist attractions, restaurants/cafes/bars and shops are located. Perhaps not an issue if you're traveling for work and/or willing to use ride-hailing apps/taxis to/from the hotel. (2) Hotel communications could be improved. Perhaps because it's a Vietnamese chain, marketing emails were mostly Vietnamese-only, even though the hotel does have foreign guests. However, I'd no issues communicating with staff in English. Also, hotel's website didn't mention the gym, which I only found out from reading Tripadvisor reviews. A missed opportunity! (3) Some traffic noise can be heard in bedroom. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.…
I traveled in Vietnam for about a month and have stayed in many different hotels. The wink hotel has been my favorite by far. The rooms are modern and clean with great views. There is a nice gym, fast internet, washer/dryer, coworking space, and even a bar/cafe on the first floor. The breakfast was also phenomenal. Most impressive of all was how kind and helpful all the staff were. Shoutout to Pu in particular, who offered so many recommendations for things to do, and also left a nice Halloween surprise in my room. Especially coming from the US, it was a really endearing gesture. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!
Love the clever lay out of the rooms. The colour is vibrant and floor to ceiling window was a plus point. The only minus point which was a tad stressful is the bathroom, there is nothing to block the water from shower coming out so out room was literally flooded once someone takes a shower. The water flow all the way out which was really stressful. The lack of dustbin is also another setback but not major.
The hotel overall is amazing. Such a cool, clean and fantastic concept, catering for everything you would want in a hotel & more! Modern rooms & facilities with great a great team that were very helpful from check in to the surrounding area. 24 hour check in meaning that whatever time you check in, is the time you check out meaning great value for money & can use that to your advantage for any onward travel plans such as afternoon flights. Being able to do your laundry, have a 24 hour bar/food & a great breakfast included, it’s very much a hotel for everyone! The location is great, it’s not located in a busy bustling area, but close enough to everything the City has to offer!
This hotel gets it all right - and is totally deserving of praise. Starting from Chris, the hotel manager, and through all the staff members, I've experienced compassion, helpfulness and kindness. Travelling is sometimes hard work - yes, exciting and glamorous, however also exhausting, disorienting and unsettling. Thank you Chris and team for your lovely environment. Especially appreciate the luxurious bedding.
