A typical business hotel, so don't expect any frills. The rooms are quite tired and old looking, and drinks at the lobby bar are super expensive. The breakfast has a decent buffet, pastries were fresh and they have some good asian options. They also hold some corporate events at the hotel which you can clearly hear all the noise in your room. Can book a better hotel at this price point.
I'm no stranger to Renaissance Riverside hotel in Ho Chi Minh city. Have been staying there for a number of years. Covid has kept me away for two years and this recent trip is the first after a long absence. My stay of 5 weeks has been made pleasantly comfortable by the entire Renaissance team from the front desk all the way to the GM himself. Great services from a great team. I was upgraded to a suite with great view day and night. Food served on the member club lounge at 18th floor is always great to my taste. If there is a certain meat that i do not eat, the chef is kind enough to change it to suit my palate and portion size. Needless to say the team on the 18th floor is a great team. They have been making me feel less homesick and ensuring my stay there is as comfortable as possible. I spent most of my dinner time at 18th floor and always happy for the company and good conversation. Shout out to Mr. Ravi, Steven, Ms Kim, Ms Ngoc Hang, Anh, Lynn, and many more that i did not get their names. Thank You all for your outstanding services.…
My experience with this hotel is quite mixed. The staff needs more English training to handle international travellers. It is quite difficult to communicate very simple things at breakfast. On the security side, the front desk needs to be more vigilant. I have a guest coming visit and the front desk just issued a key without even calling me for verification or giving me a notice. So my guest entered into my room whilst I was in the shower. This is the most horrified experience I ever had in my life staying in an international brand hotel. The only highlight of my stay is being invited to experience the club lounge by its duty manager Steven who is just a delight to talk to.
The reason I chose Renaissance Riverside Saigon as my family trip was kind response for the email I had sent before checkin. I knew this hotel is an old boy so I was not sure my decision was right. When I arrived at the gate of this hotel, my doubt disappeared. Every staff working at the lobby was extremely kind. When I get into my room already arranged in the early morning(I am a titanium member of Marriott Bonvoy), I knew this hotel is WELL managed. Everything was tidy and neat and clean. As well as kind staff and well-managed facilities, delicious food is a strong point of this hotel. Breakfast in Viet kitchen made me feel happy. If there is someone who hesitates because this hotel is old, I strongly recommend to stay here. Oldies but Goodies.
I really like the service in Renaissance, their service is superb, friendly, and awesome. Especially for Quynh, Muika, Thong, & Bao, they are really splendid. They treat us real good. Great job, must come to this hotel.
Ms. Winnie and Mr. Bao are super helpful and very kind :) happy to be here. Good service and very friendly person that I had met in this hotel. Good customer service that I ever had. I will be back here again when ever I in Vietnam. The hotel is good, clean.
We stayed at this hotel for one week this month. I went back and forth about which property to select prior to our stay, based on other reviews. However, I have no regrets about my ultimate choice to stay here! Every member of the staff we encountered was kind, helpful, and readily at our service. They often referred to us by name, despite having many customers to attend to. The location was close to so many things in the city. When things we wanted to see were too far to walk, they quickly arranged tours/drivers for those days. They even had a packed breakfast ready for us one morning after they booked an early excursion for us! The gym was quite nice, and the rooftop pool offered spectacular views. Teddy, who served us multiple days in the main restaurant, clearly aimed to please. Steven, who helped us select and plan a last minute whim for a n overnight trip to a beach town (we enjoyed an unforgettable night in Phu Quoc thanks to him!), was the most helpful attendant I have encountered in a concierge lounge in a long time! They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The hotel is clean, and the cuisine is phenomenal.…
If you’re in Renaissance, be sure to check out the Club lounge. You will be greeted by Steven, Linh, Winnie, Maika and Thong. All will give you their best service, and make you best cocktails. Thoroughly enjoyed the warmth and hospitality at Renaissance. Definitely look forward to staying here again.
The Renaissance Hotel Saigon represents an icon next to the Saigon river. View is magnificent, breakfast super yummy, rooms a bit old but they have style! Best part is the lounge team, which can read your wishes from your lips! Big thanks to the GM Alex Schöll and his lounge team, special thanks to Ms Winnie, Ms Yen and Mr Steven! Well done and will be back soon!
Steven in the business lounge was amazing. Not only attentive service, but great conversation as well. He made sure each guest felt welcomed and satisfied with whatever they needed. Also, the rest of the staff were top notch when checking in, checking out and explaining the hotel’s amenities. Great job!
