Upon checkout i was asked to pay 8usd for a towel. The towel was so old and dried out it actually ripped apart when drying my back. Just simple as that. Very unexpected to have this reaction upon checkout. So after many visits before we will never come back again.

I doubt that there is another small hotel in Ho Chi Minh City that so well evokes the baroque ambience and class of the small hotels of Paris -- and the staff here is much more hospitable than in those places. Now that the Covid pandemic has more or less ended, my wife and I have returned to find that the Spring is still the same -- warm, welcoming, comfortable, a quiet refuge near the center of historic Saigon. One thing we like especially -- every morning, guests can order Vietnamese soups and other specialties for the next day's breakfast; it's a nice alternative to eggs and bacon.

As I've written before, the Spring Hotel on tree-lined Lê Thành Tôn street just two blocks from City Hall has become a Saigon institution. It was one of the first boutique hotels to open its doors when, circa 1990, the party/state ditched 'socialist construction' for a trip down the capitalist road. We've just stayed at the Spring for, by my rough count, the twelfth time in as many years. We keep coming back for its excellent breakfasts a la table (a wide choice of Asian and Western options), a pleasant, slightly over the top baroque ambiance, comfortable rooms and, above all, a warm welcome by the Spring's well-coordinated staff. Bottom line: The Spring Hotel provides the civility of a classy hotel at an affordable price.

The spring hotel is an older hotel that still boasts charm in its ornate light fixtures and decor. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the AC worked great. We enjoyed the modern convenience of an in room fridge and safe. However, old charm doesn’t make up for cleanliness. The bedspread was dirty which made me question the sheets. The carpet had lots of stains.

The Spring Hotel is definitely not 5 star but if you want to stay 5 minutes away from the city centre and not pay a fortune this hotel is worth considering. The reception staff are fantastic and quick to help with any problems. I had an issue with the aircon remote which was quickly fixed. The decor is a bit mid 1990’s but the bed is very good, reasonable sized bathroom and safe. The breakfast has a very good choice but you need to select the day before. I found the pho to be a very good option. Finally the door staff - the friendliest people you could meet. Every time I left or returned to the hotel it was the most courteous welcome. It’s a little thing but it makes your stay so much better. Besides being close to the Vincom centre, you’ll find some great spas in the area as well as very reasonably prices restaurants. This is my first stay in the Ben Nghe area and I’ll definitely want to return to the Spring Hotel.…

This hotel located in the District 1 of HCMC offers average facilities for a nominal cost. The advantage is the location which is close to many tourist attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was not great need improvement. .

I've stayed at this hotel now for six or seven trips to Ho Chi Minh city. Too small for tour groups, it's blessedly free of the din of many hotel lobbies and breakfast rooms. One steps into calm. The breakfast is not a buffet, but there is a western and VN choice. Take the VN. The pho is excellent--I highly recommend the chicken--as is the fruit that comes with. And of course the caphe sua da, though I think one can also get hot coffee. Some rooms have larger windows and better views. There are little "flaws." I could never get enough hot water. (I think I didn't know how to work the heater.) Faucets, etc. may be a bit out of alignment. Still this is my favorite hotel. Also, very friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to cathedral, even market (maybe 15-20 minutes)…

This hotel is located in district 1 - very close to a mall and walking street. good quality breakfast and helpful staff. clean bathrooms. a decent reception area in the hotel to meet guests. just the walking space inside the hotel is small and feels congested.

Our stay at The Spring Hotel couldn’t have been better. All staff were friendly and helped in any way they could, whether it was ordering takeout to booking flights and tours....nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were clean and neat and the laundry service was the best! There was also a rooftop garden where you could relax and breakfast, which was included, was delicious. The location was excellent, within walking distance to many sights. A big thank you to Ms Khanh, Ms Ivy, Mr Phuc, Mr Phong and Mr Thai....you made our stay memorable.
