The location of Backpacking Club Hostel is excellent. You just walk outside into middle of action. Restaurants, bars, cafes, street foods, convenient stores - all is there. Also great recreational area in adjacent park. Many travel agencies are just around the corner with the bus stops that can take you practically almost everywhere. You can explore Saigon by foot -... I took the public city bus #152 from the airport and the property is just 15-20 minutes walk from the bus stop. You'd find this hostel in a small corner right across Highlands Coffee on Pham Ngu Lao and De Tham Street. The staff barely speaks English and because of this I have to arrange my day tour as well... Booked for 4 nights but after we arrived we decided to cancel our reservation. Since we had to pay for the first night due to their cancellation we stayed for it. The hostel is located down a dingy alley way, it cost 60k to get from the bus station. We booked a twin room and was given a dorm room... More

The main reason for choosing this hostel was the location, right next to the bus stop, so it was easy to get in and out of Saigon (Ho Chi Min City). Staff is nice and helpful. They kept our luggage all day and let us use shower facilities even after checkout. We booked a private twin room, but instead we... More

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh having booked this hostel previous to arrival, and had booked a twin private room. When we showed up they had no twin rooms available for us, so instead they put us in a five bed dorm with just us in it, which was a fair compromise. There is plenty of tour to do in... More

Walked in to the hostel to ask for a bed and was shown to the dorm immediately. For only $5 a night you get a comfortable bed in a 9-bed dorm with aircon 24/7. They will keep your passport and you only pay when you check out. Breakfast included, simple scrambled eggs with baguette and coffee/tea. I think this hostel... More

For 5$ a night in a 6-8 bed dorm with breakfast included and air con/TV you can't really go wrong! It may be a little hard to find, down a dingy alleyway however it was worth searching for.
