My mother and I spent two nights in Ho Cho Minh after vacationing in Da Nang for four nights. We stayed at Pullman in Da Nang so booking at Pullman Saigon Centre was an easy choice. Being a Le Accor member, I was pleased to know that we were given a free room upgrade upon our arrival. Pullman is a five-star hotel so the concierge and restaurant staff were naturally very friendly and helpful, thus providing impeccable service. What I won’t forget is the delicious Black Angus Burger that was served at the Mad Cow Wine and Grill, which we had for dinner not once but twice! Though our room was small compared to our room in Pullman Danang, it was very clean and smelled nice. What I found amusing was the bathtub situated right beside one of the beds! Pullman Saigon Centre has a nice location because it was within walking distance to the travel agency that conducted our city tour, which saved us a lot of time and cab fare. The hotel staff was kind enough to remind us to be careful with our bags as snatchers and pickpockets roam the area. Our flight was 9:30am on a Saturday morning, and a cab was already waiting outside. There was no need to book airport shuttles or Grab taxis.

The check in was smooth and i felt warmly welcomed by the staff. As a gold member I got a free upgrade to a an awesome corner room on 20th floor. The view was amazing and room was very modern and comfortable. I enjoyed the bath in the morning with a good view of the city.
The welcome cakes in the room was very tasty and the coffee from Coffee machine was great in the morning.
I got a late checkout which was convenient.
The bed was comfortable and the aircon was silent and working well. First time for me i think 😂
I could choose freely from the drink menu with my welcome drink voucher which I appreciated. Unfortunately i couldn’t use the skybar because of New Year’s Eve, which was a bit disappointing but understandable. I wanna come back to this hotel again next time i visit HCMC.
A weird thing was the speaker which didn’t have Bluetooth and only an iPhone 4 connection. I suggest updating the speakers as i think nobody has iPhone 4 anymore so these speakers are basically not possible to use for any guest. I couldn’t stream music or YouTube to the TV as well although the TV was named “Connectivity” 😂
But i really enjoyed this hotel and hope to come back.

Modern, sleek, and spotlessly clean, the Pullman is definitely a wonderful place to stay while in Saigon. The service level was excellent, and if you like breakfast buffets the one here is quite spectacular (although as with all buffets, pricey). The rooms offer a great view of the city, and the rooftop bar is a cool place to while away a few hours (although your drink tab will add up quickly). We decided to splurge and book the executive suite for 9 days and after 2 months in Vietnam, we can easily say this is the worst 5 star hotel in Vietnam. It is the worst 5 star we've ever stayed in, we've had 3 star hotels that were better.
Here is the list of Grievances we experienced: 1. When we arrived the bell boy took our luggage and forgot to take it to our executive suite. We had to call the desk 45 minutes later and request for our luggage. 2. The mini-fridge was broken, but after 1.5 hours of back and forth with the front desk the technician assured us that the refrigerator is a "warm refrigerator" and is not cold. We requested that the fridge be replaced and sure enough the fridge was cold. 3. The HDMI wall plug was broken. We called to ask for someone to fix it and an hour later no one came. We had to call again and after 30 minutes someone finally came. 4. The shower nozzle was broken, but we we're so tired of the hotel at this point we decided to let it go. The hotel gave us trouble 5 days in when my girlfriend invited some relatives over, and we pointed out the shower nozzle was broken. Sure enough it was and required fixing. 5. On day 2 of our stay, the room cleaning stole 250,000 VND from the table. We even walked in on them cleaning and they didn't say a word or ask if it was a tip. (tips here are 10-20k VND, not 250,000 VND). We reported it to the front office and no one did anything. We asked about it in person later on after dinner and then someone stepped in to check. Sure enough, the room cleaning did take the 250,000 VND and returned it to us saying "Sorry, first day, didn't know". 6. Executive suite allows 4 articles of clothing to be cleaned per day, and twice after we requested for our clothes to be delivered to our door, they forgot. We had to ask them in person to drop it off and only then did they do so. 7. Light switches are confusing and takes a lot of guessing to get right. I'm a software engineer and I'm pretty technical, but its very difficult to turn on the lights. 8. Breakfast buffet taste like a cheap buffet. This isn't a complaint really but usually 5-star hotel buffets do not taste like buffet food, it taste like restaurant food. 9. Not the hotel's fault but it is more difficult to get a Grab car here due to the location and there are less Grab cars around this area. 10. Guests are not allowed to stay over, even though I booked the executive suite and on the website it allows 4 people. 11. Guests are not allowed to use any of the amenities, even if you have 2 rooms booked, only people listed on the booking can use the pool.

The hotel & restaurant staff here are truly top notch! They were very accommodating to my family’s needs, and were so polite in the breakfast buffet, always offering to fetch is another coffee, juice, or snack for my toddler.
We upgraded to the exec lounge access, which was nice, but not really necessary unless you really plan on milking the booze... the canape selection is not huge, but the food quality was very good. Dessert bites were tasty too.
This hotel treats you well no matter what level guest you are.
The mad cow restaurant was so delicious that my father in law had the salmon 3 times !
The breakfast buffet was really really good bc of the huge selection of food, fruit/veggie juices (they had fresh sugarcane juice), quality, and the iced coffee was soooo good!
The only negative i can think about the hotel was the lack of hand held toilet sprayer that i had gotten used to while traveling in Asia (haha).

The room decor and fittings are a little tired. We were given a corner room but, much as we appreciated the gesture, we find the room configuration very impractical. There bathroom is not enclosed in a separate area. Rather it has this semi-open concept which means the bathtub is placed more or less next to the bed with some kind of white concrete/wood partition in between. What’s odd is that that partition only comes down from the ceiling half way and the bath and wash basin and shower cabinet are in the other side of this partition. For example, to get to the washing basin from the bed area, one has to ‘duck’ or navigate around this concrete/wood partition at the risk of bumping into the edge/corner of it. While the corner is not sharp, it levels approximately to my shoulder and so it’s easy to bump into it when going from bath/washroom area to the bed (and vice versa). I can imagine this room will not be suitable for couples with a young child for example.
Of course, ours was a corner room and it may that their other rooms have different (and hopefully more functional) configuration?
I must say though the staff throughout was very attentive and helpful, and they always have a smile on their face.

This is my second times staying in Pullman Saigon Centre after few years back. Although the upgraded executive king bedroom is not that too big, but the staffs and the services provided still at top notch.
As an Accor Plus Platinum member, I get to enjoy the executive lounge service which provided the breakfast, afternoon tea and also the cocktail between 6 to 8pm. The best part staying at executive room was the free daily 2pcs of laundry service.
The housekeeping guy who made up my room for the first 2 morning and the bellboy with spec really did an excellent job by providing really good services.
For sure I’ll be staying at Pullman Saigon Centre again if I happen to be back to HCMC.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights at the Pullman Saigon centre in district one, in the Pullman suite. Check in was smooth and the staff were very friendly, taking us up to level 30 executive lounge for check in. After this, they escorted us to our room and bought our luggage for us. The room is beautiful. There is a large business desk and lounge area. The bathroom area is massive, with a very large separate walk in rain shower, with the option to switch to a hand held nozzle. The bathtub looks out to the city with a full length window and also a day bed in the bathroom for relaxation. Two sinks in a separate area to the shower/bath. The toilet is also separate. The bed is comfortable and a king size, with 1.5 pillows per person. There are electronic blackout curtains, which didn’t always work and would randomly open in their own. But most of the time they worked
Room service food was good. We also dined at the mad cow grill on level 30. Breakfast on level 3 was excellent, we preferred it over breakfast on the executive floor. They also have a rooftop bar on level 31, which you can access through the mad cow grill. We also used Evolve Day Spa for a couples massage. Even though they are a little more expensive, the massage was divine. There is also a casino in the basement, however you can only play in US dollars and you choke of the think haze of cigarettes.
Now for the reason for only giving 1 stars. After dinner one night, our friends came to our suite for drinks and supper. After a while we received a knock at the door to advise we would need to pay for extra hotel rooms for our guests. We ended up having to pay 7.5 million dong for 3 rooms, which we never even opened the door to. Quick and easy scam money for the hotel and a great way to turn guests off from ever staying again. Even my father came to visit us before his flight home and was made to hand over his passport and treated like a criminal
So be aware, if you plan on having anyone visit you whilst staying in Saigon, I would suggest staying somewhere else. We visit Saigon for business and will definitely be staying elsewhere now

The room was fantastic with lots of space, super comfy bed and a luxurious bathtub. The burger bar was open throughout Tet and kept us from being hungry when everything else was closed in the city. Most of the rooms i have stayed before is come with open bathrooms. I think that is part of their design. May be you can try to reach the hotel reservation to see whether they have other type of room with closed door area.
