Good location but no attention to detail. Set in the Japanese area, there are plenty of food and drink options nearby and it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to the opera house and a lot of the Saigon tourist sites. The room itself was ok but designed in a weird way. Separate room for toilet, separate shower and a bathtub and sink in the actual bedroom make for weird logistics come ablutions time. We had the executive room that was supposed to be quite big but it still felt small and pokey due to the layout. The lobby was always hot as they never had the aircon switched on. Staff were friendly enough but the ‘pool’ on the roof is a bit of a non event. Carpets in the lifts were filthy. We decided to try another hotel for the second half of our Saigon trip.
Pros: Beautiful decor, with classy Japanese theme and decoration. Very calming and Zen Hotel ! staff were welcoming, smiling through out and only too happy to help. Breakfast was okay, 50/50 western/vietnamese bacon sausage eggs available amongst a large selection. Good times 6-10am! Afternoon tea was average, a cute idea but maybe needs a touch more style. It was left over breakfast and panda biscuits... I was hoping for more but it was okay. NOW !!! The room ! Was amazing. Comfy bed ! Balcony and huge sofa ! Bathtub! Really loved the room which completely redeemed The only con: The pool whilst the roof is beautifully decorated. It’s not a pool it’s a Jacuzzi, (which they did advise on check in) and it’s half ice cold and I mean ICE and half scalding hot and I mean SCALDING. Weird set up and slightly disappointing tbh. Roof is beautiful with lovely furniture, has nice view and reasonable drinks, a fun evening spot. Overall we were happy and would recommend .... if you’re not fussed about the pool/jacuzzi…
Honestly this must have been the nicest hotel I have ever been to. The rooftop jacuzzi is simply gorgeous, paved with stones to give a natural feel to it surrounded by wall covered in green vines. A little green paradise amidst the busy city that is HCMC. Not to mention the staff is very kind and hospitable, trying to satisfy your needs and make your experience as nice as possible.
This was a last minute, short visit and I couldn't have been happier with the service. Lovely hotel, very clean and modern rooms and amenities, under cover parking and great, friendly service. Great location in D1 too. Beautiful pool and spa at the rooftop bar. A++ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Somewhat luxe hotel. Rooms good, but small (and we had the luxe style ie with a window!). Excellent position. Very excellent breakfast. Rooftop pool & spa. Surprisingly, staff English is poor to non-existent - which lead to some confusion and problems for me/us.
Very nice hotel, & location, boutique style, wonderful attentive service, very nice rooms, comfortable beds. Quality bathroom. Top marks for the roof top 20m pool, sun deck, gym. High quality. Relaxing stay. Breakfast buffet and afternoon tea were excellent. Walking distance from here to numerous sites, plus local recommended restaurants. A fantastic local indoor market 5 mins walk nearby is a must. It’s enormous, atmospheric, & an experience. Lovely memories. Thank you Silverland.
We came Vietnam and chosen Silverland Sakyo hotel. We love this hotel. They are so nice with the good service. The buffet breakfast was great. And afternoon tea was nice also. At here we met Chloe, Selena and Louis, they are so friendly and kindness.
As we travel to Ho Chi Minh city to have our very first days for honeymoon, we booked this hotel. The room was decent, cozy and fragrant. The decoration the staff prepared for us was really romantic, too. Especially the staff named May, who gave us a lot of care as well as advice to have better experience in this busy city. We had good times there. Service was nice. Look forward to coming back next time.
This was the first hotel where they did not refund the deposit automatically. At check-out they said it will be paid back asap but after 2 weeks it still was not refunded. Called the hotel but the first person could not find our reservation, then called hotels.com who called the hotel and they had promised to contact us; still nothing happens. After third contact, I assume, they realised they have done a mistake and claimed the issue was with ny bank (somehow the charging of my bank account worked but not the opposite) and they pressed the button and refunded the money (and there suddenly was no issue with my bank...). I know human mistakes can happen but never expected this level hotel to take so long to react. The location is great though. And the tea time was great. Also bare in mind there is no ”normal” swimming pool, just cold and hot tube. Also the spa area at the rooftop was closed for staff party. Great they hold parties to staff but on the customers expense. Also this was first hotel where we had a ”neighbour” partying all night and waking everyone up by knocking everyone’s doors. After two nights I mentioned it to the reception who just apologizied. I would choose a hostel if this was something I would tolerate. Overall with all these issues, I cannot give more points.…
I've been to many places but Silverland Sakyo made me the happiest. Staff are always welcoming, delicious food, nice bedrooms, pleasant atmosphere. Selena and Chloe were extremely friendly at the restaurant. Room service staff also may be his name is Louis. I will come next time. Highly recommended
