This hotel bears no resemblance to the photos posted. I was booked into this hotel for three weeks but only managed two nights.Rooms very sparsely furnished, antiquated plumbing and not very clean generally. Would avoid at all cost.

The Swan is very close to the centre of this huge city, but it's in a side street and as Azeri taxi drivers are mostly rogues and haven't got a clue where anything but the most obvious things are situated, make sure you print-off a map, otherwise the estimated price for the journey doubles by the time they find it....

The hotel is located in the area which is under reconstruction now, it brings a bit of dust to the narrow streets of the neighbourhood... However, it's really close to Old City and Torgoviy district (centre), like 10 minutes walking. It's small, clean and quiet, family style business. For breakfast you'll have an omelette, coffee/tea, yoghurt and some sausage assortment....

Well, this was a mixed experience. Location is excellent, walking distance to all the city center sites and lovely parks. However you do need to watch your step outside. Footpath is in a bad state of repair and that street is poorly lit. Also no locals I met knew where the hotel was or where the street was , even...

The hotel is very nice. Located in te city centre, close both to modern buildings and to the old city. Breakfast was decent. The staff is ok but could be more friendly. For those who speak only Russian could be hard to communicate

Very close to old city, super value for money, nice and helpful staff, comfortable beds, big room, decent breakfast, very silent at night. Address on Google maps may be misleading. Same street but Hotel is located 50 meters further.

Confortable, clean and with friendly staff. Quiet rooms. Wifi works properly. Located in a strategic point (5 min walk to the Old City and to the nearest metro station). Basic breakfast but with an outstanding omelette! Family environment. Cheap. Definetely recommended!

I booked this hotel together with my e-visa via Azterra Travel. The room was small, had no view to speak of, but was in all other ways, pretty wonderful. The bed was comfortable, the wifi was fast, the breakfast was small but filling, and the staff were excellent. The young lady who was on reception most days (sorry, I didn’t...

I was worried when I read the previous review about the hotel being closed, but it seems there was a change of management about the time the previous reviewer visited the hotel. Anyway, the Swan Hotel, with its new management, is still (June 29th) delivering excellent service in a spotless environment. Front desk staff are fluent in English and given...

We booked this hotel several months ago. We communicated several times via email with the hotel owner. Never did he indicate that "The Swan" was closed or will close. Today (April 11), we arrived in Baku to find a note taped to the hotel door, telling us that "all reservations are relocated to the "Maestro Hotel" (across the street). The...
