I had been here for 2 nights during my business trip to Brunei.
Brunei is not a touristy place; so, not many options of accommodation. The Cetrepoint is a reasonable place for stay.

The location of the hotel is very good. There are options for eating and shopping around the hotel. The famous night market is just around 5-10 min walking distance. You can find some taxis waiting around the hotel, if not, the hotel staff will arrange it for you. The hotel staff are friendly and warm. The breakfast buffet is also good.

This hotel is expensive when compared to the amenities. In general, Brunei is an expensive place and not a tourist destination. This is only reason why I rate it Average.

Great location with many shopping and eating places within walking distance. Decent selection of local food at the buffet breakfast. Rooms were spacious and clean. Our family of 5 was fortunate to have a complimentary upgrade of one of our rooms to a suite in order to have interconnecting rooms. However, condition of the rooms were quite aged and the aircon temperature cannot be adjusted which made it very cold most of the time. In-room Wi-Fi definitely needs improvement as you have to pull a chair and sit near the room door for a decent signal strength. Overall still a reasonable place to stay.

Staying in this hotel and the location turn out to be a very good choice. I was choosing between the downtown and the Gadong area. Brunei and it's capital it's not very big or bustling. But around this hotel is very lively and has plenty of restaurants to choose from inside and outside of the mall. When I read other people's review and mentioned that the hotel was a little bit old. I was worried there was going to be old run down, with musty smell. But that is not the case. It is a little bit old but they kept it up very nicely. There is no chipped pain beta car bed or any thing that makes you think it's run down at all. On the contrary it's very nice. It does feel dated due to its solid wood color themes. The room is great. I went swimming the swimming pool area is great. The breakfast buffet was excellent. And there is a coffee bean coffee shop inside the hotel. And right next to the hotel quite a few other coffee shops and restaurants. The famous night market it's only about a 5 minute walk. Across the street from the hotel are a series of stores and restaurants to choose from. Keep in mind that Brunei it's not a bustling city. Therefore this is about its lively as you will get. In conclusion, The hotel location is great, the staff is great, the accommodation is great, the breakfast is great

Stayed here for my seven days’ isolation. My room is on a segregated floor in the hotel - quite the VIP experience with my own lift and escorted straight to my room upon arrival. The room was huge, basically a small suite with a living room and space to move around.
The meals were lovely - I would recommend the Asian option for lunch and dinner, and the Western option for breakfast (you may need to specify this as they may make assumptions based on your passport).
Staff and the duty manager were friendly and helpful. They even sent up a surprise birthday cake!
Great value for money. I would definitely come here again for future isolation/quarantine stays.

My room was spacious, clean and very quiet.

Breakfast spread was huge with lots of choice.

Smallish swimming pool upstairs next to the breakfast area.

Conveniently located near the airport.

I would stay again.

Stayed here for a brief stopover in December 2006 having stayed on a previous occasion at the Royal Brunei which was cheaper but out of the way & a bit poky with limited breakfast choices.

We had noted the location of the Centrepoint on that occasion & were very pleased with our choice this time. Light, modern & spacious, we found the staff very helpful & the breakfast good. The hotel is close to the big shopping mall (which was what we wanted), & restaurants & the night market is an easy five minute walk.

We ate across the road at a Japanese restaurant which was very good but there is a wide choice of eating options around.

We always enjoy a stopover in Brunei en route to Oz & will stay at the Centrepoint again in future. Excellent value for money.

We made an enquiry online and the hotel quoted us a rate for 3 nights stay with BREAKFAST INCLUDED.

When arriving and checking in, we were charged
$35 more per night to include BREAKFAST

Also in their guest information book they
advertised airport transfer at $30 but charged
$35 when I queried this, I was told its $35.00!

The room we stayed in was very "tired" with stained carpets,
mould around shower/bath area, torn curtain, very overpriced
for the standard of room. Powder milk for tea/coffee ( YUK)

On the postive side the food was good and restaurant
staff friendly

Don't forget to bring your reservation paperwork or be prepared,
you may get overcharged like we did! I lost my paperwork
and found the error when I got home 26th Jan, when emailing
the hotel, they apologised for error and told me they will
credit my c.card, we are still waiting................but no refund
yet ( so let's see what happen's) we live in hope!

The Centrepoint is next to "The Mall" in central Gadong district. There are umpteen food options both inside and outside the mall; there is even a moderately-priced foodcourt on the ground level of the hotel itself. Indian, Japanese, Malaysian, Chinese and Italian food is not difficult to find.

The rooms are quite comfortable and service is with a smile. I have stayed there over 2 months on couple of occasions. It has all the basic necessities, not a luxury hotel. I would rate it as 2 and a Half stars.

While the Empire and the Sheraton are better hotels, they are rather isolated. Unless you hire a car, leisure options are pretty limited. Cab costs S$30 for even minimum distance!

The Centrepoint is about the only decent option in Brunei, especially for a long stay.

Booked the hotel a day before my trip. All was confirmed till the day we arrived. Was informed they were not able to find my bookings. Took a while to find and dig our bookings. At last since they were still unable to find my bookings they managed to find rooms for us. I have booked the junior suite to be connected to the deluxe room. It took them a while as we waited patiently for it although few customers have passed in checking in.

Once done was told our junior suite was ready but not the deluxe room. (We checked in at 2.30pm) so was told to claim our deluxe room keys at later stage since it was still in the process of cleaning.

The worst part begun. We brought our luggages up to the 5th floor with the card given. Upon trying to enter the room, the card does not turn green meaning it was not scan to suit our room. So i went down and informed the counter and they re scan the card again. I asked them if was ok and scanned that suits our room number and was told yes it does. So i went back again to the 5th floor hoping all was ok. But no its not. We were still unable to enter our room as its still shows red (rejected). So i went down again and asked them if they have problems with their cards since we were still unable to enter our room. They scanned again and pass me the card. By then i told them to give me a new card and scan it. Once done i went up again and all was ok.

Entering the room, it smells bad and our room table was quite dirty. But we were still able to tolerate that and cleaned it ourselves and sprayed the room so it smells good.

Around 3ish i saw a lady (looks like an officer or supervisor) and asked her if our deluxe is ready. When I mentioned to her the room number surprisingly she told me that yes the room was ready quite a while ago. I was kinda shocked hearing that and told her that since we have some urgency outside i will get the key/card of our deluxe room once we got back.

Around 5pm the time we got back i asked the key/card to our deluxe room. Once being handed we went up to our room and upon entering and looking for the connecting door we found nothing. I than went down and told them abt it and guess what???? They themselves were shocked knowing that the room given to me was not connected. They checked in the system and found out they gave me the wrong room where in fact the actual room was actually readied for us to check in along with our junior suite room earlier. I was pissed. Even my kids was not happy and told me that if they were to rate the service it can only be rated 1 star.

Honestly although i myself is a local I seriously can’t believe if this happens to an outsiders. Mbari malu.

Seriously u guys need to improve your service, knowledge and the rooms itself. Ani terikah pun nada. 🤦🏻‍♀️ yg kana pinjami lagi ilang controller nya. Hangus tudung.

The normal booking for standard twin room will comes with 2 complimentary breakfast coupons for each day you are staying at the hotel. If you have 3 adults staying, 1 of you will not be able to enjoy the breakfast at the Season's Restaurant which serves a wide array of continental and local breakfast selection. The same goes for the complimentary mineral drinking water, complimentary beverage (coffee and tea) provided at the room pantry. Bathroom amenities such as towels will only be sufficient for 2 pax. I think the best option for you is to opt for a twin sharing room but add a bed. Or book a triple sharing room if there is such an option available.
