We stayed here for one night after arriving late on a bus from Miri. Our fist choice (the Pusat Belia) was unmanned so this place was close. Why Lonely Planet recommend it I really don't know. We had a double en-suite room with air-con for BD45 per night (room 412). The bedding was clean and the air con worked well....

I stayed here with a friend en-route to Kota Kinabalu. BSB is not a cheap city to visit and there was not a lot of choice for hotels in this budget range. We arrived with no place to stay and were recommended this place by the couple who run the Islamic restaurant on the corner. Overall I was pretty impressed...

Its near the bus station water village and Yayasan ill give you that. But Once you go in this resthouse you'll feel like your in grave danger. Receptionist looks like a clown. The Toilet looks like disintegrating moss cubicle. The beds headboard got a stain that looks like pee. I didnt feel comfortable the whole night. Sheets are dusty. The...

This is as basic as basic gets. A no frills room for 2 people with attached bathroom will set you back 45 Brunei Dollars in this guest house, 3 floors up. For this you get air con, comfortable bed with spotlessly clean bedding, brilliant location and really friendly staff, though no wifi. The Regalia Museum and Mosque are a 5...

My friends and I stayed for one night at KH Soon. Its the nearest, most affordable place we could find that is close to the Bus Terminal. It occupies the 3rd and 4th floor of an old building. We did not make any reservations since we were still weighing our options where to stay but the front-desk girl was helpful....

KH Soon is really your only option for affordable accommodation in downtown BSB. You get a double room for about $38 BR and the location is great for seeing the city, and close to the public bus terminal. The rooms are huge, but not that comfortable. There is no Wifi or other services.

Resthouse is just 2 minutes from Tamu Kianggeh and main bus staion. However, room is old and not clean. We spent $79 for a room with 4 beds; consider expensive for such quality.

I stayed there for one night and would never do it again. The place was falling apart, the rooms were huge, ugly and dirty. I had to close the curtains and they were almost black and sticky with dirt. Just disgusting.

We stayed 4 nights at the KH Soon as an alternative to staying in seperate dorm beds down the street. We paid B$45 a night for an enormous room with a private Western bathroom, nice AC, and a hot shower. There was no TV but there was a table and a desk. Shared bathrooms are all of the "squat" variety....

if you search an accomodation right in the city center, in front of the bus terminal and with a walking distance to the highlights of the city here you go. this hotel has huuuge rooms but empty, old and quite dirty... the bathrooms are very basic and in the corridor. forget internet, they don't have it.
