We had read reviews that warned of construction noise, that should have been finished when we arrived. We were put in a first floor room on The first morning we were woken by the sound of hammering and angle grinding from the roof right next door - the construction was ongoing. We asked to move room to the other side,...

Location - Quiet street but next to a school so be prepared for early morning school bells and screaming kids. We are deep sleeper so were unaffected. Walking distance to Sisowath Quay and city centre. 30 min tuk tuk ride to the Killing Fields and Genocide Museum. There's a supermarket (Pencil) down the street, a mini mart two streets away...

We were upgraded to a suite which strangely didn't have any chairs although the room was huge. Lack of hot water persisted for the three days. Nice breakfast, good location, pool across the road at the other part of the hotel. Good value in a good location. Like the use of polished concrete in the rooms.

We weren't really too impressed with our stay here. We've been traveling for a while and this place we thought was definitely too expensive for what it was. Firstly, when we arrived we were taken to a room inside the building that holds reception and were told we had been "upgraded" the room looked nice but it was twin beds....

We were 4 couples all paying the same. 2 had reasonable rooms whilst the other 2 had terrible rooms that were so basic with concrete floors and walls. The bathrooms were basic and unless up early ran out of hot water. The floors were deadly slippery when wet. The breakfast was nothing to shout about. We saw 3 rats on...

Stayed twice at the Royal Mekong in a short period of time. First time when we had arrive from HCMC. Staff were helpful but a language barrier did exist sometimes. We booked the Killing field bus trip at reception which went OK and I would recommend. Although the room on our first few nights were OK it was rather cold...
