First stay, housekeeping liberated my bottle of water from the room, no idea why. Second stay, I got a date wrong and the hotel upgraded me to a more expensive room at no cost as all their cheaper rooms were full. Included breakfast has 5 choices and quite good, homely place but the doors can have quite large gaps around...

I am surprised how few other travelers commented on the noise problem in the rooms facing the street. Avoid rooms 1, 2, and 3. I stayed in room 2 for 4 nights and could not sleep. I trust that rooms in the back are better. Otherwise, the hotel is small and charming and good value. I was here for business...

This small 'hotel' deserves its first ranking which has clean, quiet atmosphere at an reasonably room rate (additional bed) of nett USD 32+ 10 (with breaky) for 3 persons Vs. another place (new guesthouse which was also recommended by Tripadvisor Expert) nett USD22+8 (without breaky). We chose this one as it is near to the Mekong River. Breakfast was reasonable....

Named for the owner’s mother, Hotel Khamvongsa makes every effort to be a throw back to an intimate, old world hotel. Black and white tiled flooring, black and white photographs, and period furniture make this a haven located in the heart of the tourist district in Vientiane. The hotel is small and charming and seemed mostly always full. The rooms...

We chose this hotel on the recommendation from the own of the guest house we stayed in in Laos. When we arrived at the hotel, we were upgraded to a deluxe room free of charge as they were so busy and the room was lovely. The staff were lovely and very helpful and had lots of advice for us on...

We spent a week at this hotel in room 202. The room was immaculate (and I'm fussy about cleanliness - it really sparkled!). Vientiane seems to have more than its share of mosquitoes, and even though there were screens on the windows, they still managed to get inside the room - and bad in the courtyard once the sun went...

Stayed in a nice modern room with lots of character and a good shower with excellent water pressure. Bed comfortable, room clean, there is a little fridge with two free bottles of water for the length of your stay. Wireless internet is free but not available in certain rooms where the signal isn't strong enough, but the inner courtyard is...

We only had one night in Vientiane and arrived late at this hotel. We checked into a lovely loft style appartment which was fantastic value for money. The hotel is situated on the edge of the busier area with great access to bars and the fantastic coffee shops Vientiane has to offer. In the morning we were given a lovely...

the khamvongla was a great little hotel with clean rooms and a really nice atmosphere. I think the hotel is relatively new. The staff were very attentive and the hotel was in a good part of town, close to the river. Vientiane itself was hot and dusty but it was nice to get back to the hotel and relax. I...
