Great little hotel on the river with a lovely view of the Mekong at the rooftop restaurant. Breakfast is good and plentiful. There is a gym with a small rock climbing wall and there are great places to eat along the river. Didn't have a problem with noise as we only stayed one night and had quite a wild one...

Nice hotel right on the river bank. Very friendly staff. They offer a free pickup from the airport, but did not show up. We took a cab and upon arrivel to the hotel, they immidiatly offered us a refund. Indeed it was a nice gesture. Hotel is right on the river bank. It is a bit far from the center...

From the first moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room with a balcony, where we could sit and enjoy the sun. The breakfast at the rooftop cafe was a great way to start the day. We used the gym, which had a good choice of equipment. The WiFi was excellent everywhere. Across the...

We stayed here for four nights and only had one hot shower mid afternoon on day two. The karaoke was so loud every night we had to put earplugs in. One redeeming factor was the resturant with great views and good food, the breakfast was also good but get there early before 8.30-9.00 to get a reasonable selection of foods...

On arrival we were told that sometimes there's hot water, sometimes there's not. It was mostly not. Our "non smoking" room smelled like an ashtray. The thin walls meant i could hear the chinese guy next door clearing his lungs all night, and dont even get me started on the noise from the restaurant. We were on the top floor,...

My wife and I stayed there on the New Year's Eve. We picked the hotel because of it's riverside location and good reviews. First, were happy with the hotel's airport pickup service. However, we had to ask to change the room twice because of the strong sewage smell from the bathroom. Bad in room 404 and worse in 103. Finally...

The location is great - near the night market and many places to eat. Unfortunately, this also means loud music at night. Food is terrible but the view from the rooftop is nice. Staff members were nice but need to learn to speak some basic English. Had a good massage in the 'spa' on the ground floor - clean and...

Good location especially for the evening and night where the food stalls on the Mekong riverside, and the next door restaurants are quite packed with diners. Morning jog along the pavement by the riverside is refreshing. Have rooftop restaurant which provide food with reasonable price, and excellent view of the sunset. About 2 to 3 km walk to town centre.

The hotel is substandard. It's value for money. Good location as Mekong Riverside. Good access to the riverfront means an immediate access to the waterfront. City centre of Vientiane is a walkable distance. A lot of outdoor cafes and restaurant at the Waterfront and surrounding area... Amazing view of sunset from Rooftop Restaurant. U don't have to order the food....

Hi, a friend and I spent four nights at the Sengtawan recently. I won't deny it's well sited on the river, the staff are nice and helpful (a few utterly daft front desk staff who couldn't use the eftpos if their lives depended on it), the rooms spacious the beds comfortable and reasonably good furniture, airport transfers are free. However!...
