We unfortunately stayed here with a tour group and on quickly checking in and thinking "it's just one night" we went to the night market and returned late to really see the horrors that this disgusting place had to offer! Basically this place is run down, dangerous and just down right filthy. Reasons to not stay: •There was a huge... More

Worst hotel, i have stayed at in Laos. Tiny cramped rooms with damaged carpets, overpriced and tv noise blaring at 3am. Only upside is the good location. Showers took very long to heat up. No elevator so we had to lift heavy luggage up the stairs with a broken railing.

We stayed here for just one night. We seen it after just getting off a long bus over the Thai border, and the Tuk-tuk dropped is off just down the road. It was the first hotel we seen that was below $20 so we just took it. Rookie mistake not checking the room first, it was manky filthy! Pros: -... More

Worst hotel we stayed in Laos! We came from Vang Vieng by bus and the bus stopped near this hotel, and it was one of the first ones we saw so we walked in and booked one night! A big mistake. The room was awful! Very dirty, stains all over the sheets and the planket, the carpet and the whole... More

This room is twice the price I have paid for comparable rooms throughout Laos and is horrible. The carpet appears to have dried vomit on it. The walls are filthy. The bed sags in the middle. It smells really moldy. The aircon takes hours to cool the room down. I do not recommend anyone to stay here - you can... More

On our first night we stayed at Phoungchampa hotel. Although we are now throughly into the travelling way of life we still don't like to turn up somewhere without any digs. We know you can (sometimes) get a better walk up rate than pre-booking but for peace of mind we would rather spend a couple of quid to know we... More

We arrived in Vientaine after three days of straight travelling via boat, bus and train. On arrival the Intha Hotel seemed great. (Side note it is not called Intha anymore, I can't remember the new name but most tuk tuk drivers still know what you are talking about when you say Intha). As the side effects of fatigue began to... Other reviewers (on another site) have this down: - overpriced - clean rooms - no hot shower - wifi doesn't work well unless you're in lobby - indifferent desk staff - great location None were a dealbreaker for me except the lack of wifi so I moved out after 1 night. Loads of other options nearby, at better prices and... More
