The Saysouly hotel is very centrally situated, minutes walk from the river and Namphu fountain. That's the only good thing about it. The rooms have that all too familiar appearance of decay and neglect that is found at almost all budget accommodations in Vientiane. I paid for an ensuite room but was put in a room with no bathroom on...

So, firstly about upside. It's good location of this guesthouse - just 200 m to Fountaine pavilion and approximately 400 - to Wat Sisaket and Wat Ho Pra Kheo. But really it was very dirty uncomfortable rooms without any signs of cleaning before you've stayed there. And unfriendly staff. And no wifi - for me this cons was one of...

Group of 14 of us stayed here. Good location, near restaurants & small supermarket near by. Room was basic but had a fan, room was dusty, towels were old & holey. Shared washroom with a dribbling shower & no hot water. No bed bugs in room 12. Nice balcony decking to chill on & good wifi provided. Mixay guesthouse on...

We had looked at a few other guesthouses before deciding on Saysouly. We paid 80,000 for a generously sized double room with private bathroom which had a couple of big windows facing the street, air conditioning (noisy but worked fine), with great wifi on every floor. There was also a balcony area with deck chairs to see the sunset which...

Check in: tired and ready to just eat and sleep Return from dinner: manager is drunk and shirtless in the lobby. His lady friend is sitting on the couch. I sit down to use the wifi and be begins to ell at her making her cry. Things escalate to where he is pushing her to the floor and kicking her...

There are a lot of places to stay in Vientiane, and we were guilty of walking into the first place that we spoke to, because it is extremely well priced. It wasn't a bad stay, there were clean sheets and the shared bathroom facilities were surprisingly nice. The rooms were very very basic, and I was given a towel which...

We paid for a room with aircon which didn't work well so the room was extremely warm at night. Shared bathroom was quite dirty and beds were really hard. Brilliant location though and pretty good value for 80,000 Kip. Loved Vientiane so didn't want to spend much time in our room luckily

Stayed 5 nights in June, reasonable price but not the cheapest around, room supposed to have wifi, fridge, tv, aircon, hot water, stayed in 3 different rooms but kept changing since wifi wouldn't work in downstairs rooms, tv didn't work in one (doesn't bother me but I noticed), hot water didn't work in another and was a handheld shower (not...

This is very basic but the air conditioned rooms are good. I don't think any are en suite (or not many). The shared bathrooms are dated and a tad grubby - worth showering in flip flops just in case... Staff not very friendly.

But the owner maybe didnot care to do that. Very dirty. Bad service. Never smile. Will not recommend to anyone. There are some better place to stay and enjoy Vientiane.
