A lovely small hotel with comfy beds and a good workspace. Places to talk and snack. The bar upstairs is a people watching place as you look down on the street. Lovely staff who learn your name and what coffee you like. And what great coffee. The ambience is perfect with wooden carvings everywhere. The cumin shrimp bites were the...

We loved the Salana. The hotel itself is gorgeous--beautiful lobby and rooms. Staff is attentive and professional and the breakfast is very good. Wifi was pretty good most of the time and AC worked well!! Very clean and quiet. Super convenient to everything in Vientiane. Mekong and the night market is five minute walk. There are temples across the street,...

Normally, I book this hotel because it is convenient location and clean room. But this time, I had to wait check-in 4 hours even I arrived after check-in time (2PM). I booked 2 rooms. Staff said they upgraded 1 room but you have to wait until 7PM for another room. I never request like this. I wanted to use the...

Located in a very good part of the city, next to great restaurants and the river. Very boutique like hotel, excellent design. Friendly and professional service. Really enjoyed the stay, everything worked smoothly. Also super breakfast. But the best is location! So easy to walk out to nearby places.

On arrival at Wattay International Airport, we were warmly received by Mr Phayud who was very friendly and attentive. We had arranged for the airport transfer at USD10 per way just days before our trip and there was no hassle at all. Mr Phayud also provided us with invaluable advice on moving around to the touristy places in Vientiane and...

This is an extremely nice hotel, but then I would have expected nothing less given it was by far the most expensive night on my month-long trek around Indochina. The airport pick-up was in the hotel's own car which was a nice touch, and check-in was efficient and friendly. The decor is very nice. My room was very comfortable but...

We stayed at Salana for 2 nights and it was just as good as we expected. Everywhere was easily accessible by foot; the river, night market and temples. The staff were very helpful with plenty of suggestions for things to do and where to eat. The hotel was boutique with decent size rooms and an excellent buffet breakfast. I would...

Very easy to get to the river, the night market and many other places on foot. Bedroom was comfortable, quiet and the massage at the Spa was excellent. Breakfast was adequate but we did not eat dinner in the hotel as it was fun to sit at one of the pavement cafes.

I spent nearly two and a half weeks at this hotel while on work travel. While the hotel is a little small and lacks amenities like a swimming pool and gym, it's a great place to stay, and much much nicer than the larger hotels. The location is ideal for walking around the main old town part of Vientiane. What...

The Salana is a pretty cool boutique hotel just off the main street in Vientiane and also very close to the river. So location is excellent. The hotel is very clean and the staff are welcoming from the start. Our room was very nice & spacious & modern. We overlooked the temple next door. Breakfast was included and the food...
