We spent 4 nights in this hotel early November. It was our first stay in Laos and I booked a hotel with a pool (there are not that many in Laos) so that we could spend some rime relaxing by it before the rest of our trip; unfortunately it rained and/or no sunshine during our stay. This didn stop us...

Five stars status obligates to high quality and customer care. This hotel was expected to be "a once in a lifetime" for us. Our reservation was made by local travel agent, but day before I sent a couple of wishes concerning the room reguests by email. By our arrival the recepcionist was somehow busy but we were served obligatory fresh...

Before going into the details of our hotel experience I have to say that Vientiane was not a great tourist destination - we struggled to fill a whole day even including a 45 minute drive to the Buddha Park, a visit to the Lao Disabled Women's Centre and an extended lunch break. That only left Wat Sisaket and the Patuxay...

A few short distance away from the river, but easy walking distance. We stayed four nights in the junior suite. An excellent choice. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating, The building is beautifully maintained and the room well equipped. The pool area is good and the pool deceptively large. I have seen a number of comments about the bar...

I very nearly gave the Settha Palace 5 out of 5 and with a modest update to the rooms (electrics and air-conditioning) it would be. Otherwise my room was very comfortable and the bed was most definitely on the firm side (which I personally prefer). The bathroom was well equipped and, along with the bedroom, was decorated in a style...

My wife and I are Travel Agents in Brisbane, and have stayed in 260 hotels / resorts in 111 Cities in 42 Countries. So we feel we are in a position to know the difference between a good and not so good hotel. On arrival we were picked up by the hotel's London Cab. Quite unique. Check-in was smooth and...

If you are ever in Vientiane I completely recommend this place. Beautiful, tranquil, quiet with excellent service and close to every interesting place in town. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in, in my 20 years travelling Asia.

When we planned our trip to Vientiane; I have to be honest that I first booked a hotel, which had a 9,0 on another booking site. Settha had just an 8,4. The hotel with the 9,0 was good but had not that warm elegant charm feeling which Settha does! We travelled a lot and I really think you can compare...

We had two rooms, both beautifully fitted out, quiet with great showers and comfortable beds. Staff were good in response to questions but didn't offer information, so the Water Festival came as a delightful surprise to us when we walked into town. The welcoming cold towel and drink are a nice touch. Breakfast choices are a bit limited and the...
