We had checked numerous hotels on TA, and by choosing this one, made the right choice. Large room, good bathroom but above all, staff who made you feel welcome. Handy for all the mid town restaurants and night market.
This hotel was actually an oasis for me a couple of weeks ago when I stayed. I had been staying in a house in the Naxay district of Vientiane, provided by my employer while I completed a contract in the city. Towards the end of...More
This is a very good hotel in Vientiane. Large rooms very well equipped, with nice bathroom too. The hotel is well prepared to deal with mosquitos, with devices in the aisles and the rooms. About 100 m to the river and night market area, and...More
Stayed for a week on our honeymoon and it's the most relaxing experience ever! This hotel is a must stay when you will be in the area. Service will be the one that will make you stay here. Wouldn't it be nice to be pampered....
This is a beautiful hotel, reproducing French colonial style, with huge rooms, excellent staff. very good breakfast and restaurant at very accessible price. The hotel is truly beautiful and unique. Staff very friendly.

Please disregard my last answer - got confused with another hotel - age related problem in my case - within their website blurb - they mention colonial - the building itself is pretty ugly - see my reviews - the rooms are probably in a colonial style - wooden floors - highish ceilings - old fashioned bathroom fittings - minimalist decoration - but the building is surrounded by modern buildings - the Ansara which is close by is probably slightly more colonial - we ate at their signature restaurant - the main building is in a "colonial" style with a modern extension around the swimming pool at the rear - the area that both hotels are located in - may have once been the colonial heart of the city close to the Mekong - but Laos is not a rich country and the days of the French are long gone - the area has now been taken over by the night market and a range of eating opportunities both on and off street as well as hotels and hostels - it is very safe - but perhaps not as attractive as it was once - enjoy
