I stayed with my husband in the top room in the middle( 303 i think) after reading other tripadvisor reports of large trees and power lines obscuring the view of the mekong. Sadly in October the river is very small and only runs a bit on the Thai side. The only river activity we saw was jetski's!! The rooms and... More

The Beau Rivage Mekong Hotel is located right on the Mekong River and offers some great views across to Thailand. The staff are friendly and professional - it seems that I was overcharged by $5 on checkout, something I didn't notice. While we were on the way to the airport, the hotel staff called the driver to tell him to... More

I've stayed at this hotel over several years, it's exemplary. Located right on the Mekong River across from Thailand. If some snob says its not adequate tell them to stay on there Aircraft and continue to "Hong Kong" for $ 800.00 a night, this is Laos. My wife and I have personally met the owner of this hotel, he's a... More

I had a nice stay at this hotel. Good location on the Mekong and across one can see Thailand. The front desk receptionist Bee Savity was very helpful and easy to talk to. I had a nice room. The room numbers are also marked with places in Laos. I had pink bed sheets, nice and diiferent. Nice and charming hotel!... More

We stayed on the 3rd floor with a balcony and view over the Mekong. Hotel is clean and well maintained, staff are very friendly and helpful. Gordon the owner is a great guy to talk with and ensures you are well looked after during your stay. For the price you cant beat it.

Don't trust the Lonely Planet here. 'Superb rooms'? No way. It is just a mediocre hotel, old fashioned. The shower wasn't very good, a rusty shower tub. The airco rather noisy - we had to switch it off, could not sleep. This is not a boutique hotel -- it is more backpacker-like. Of course, the people here are very friendly,... More

First of all I did not travel or stay there in August 2015, but Trip Advisor didn't let me enter the actual months and year. In fact it was years ago and the hotel had yet to officially open when I arrived, so I was probably the first guest. The owner, an Aussie, was out front the day I found... More

I fell in love with this cute cute hotel in Vientiane at the Mekong riverside. I was a bit worried after having read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor and in particular seen pictures. Yes, there are wires in front of our great riverview, but it is a part of being in Vientiane. Decor of the rooms is fun and... More

Stayed there for 3 nights in early May. L Excellent level of service and friendliness from the staff. Very clean. Everywhere. Antiquated TV set but really not needed. Fridge, a/c, safebox, shower pressure all work perfectly. Good breakfast, incl excellent coffee which is not customary in the region. Restaurant provides good food a la carte for lunch or dinner although... More

We finished our holiday to SE Asia in this lovely hotel on the banks of the Mekong. We spent 7 days here and the weather was 40+. Going out generally had to be mornings and evenings because of the heat so many an afternoon was spent cooling down in the room which was a pleasure itself. We chose a river... More
