We chose Mixay Guesthouse because it was centrally located and okay for the price. But the guy at the reception (probably the manager or owner) was not just unfriendly but simply rude to us. We were really annoyed by his impoliteness. Additionally, the room was...More

We stayed here during our travels around Laos and were pretty comfortable with this hostel. Everyone seemed friendly, although we didn't get offered any help with our bags up the never ending spiral staircase. Our room was tiny which wasn't an issue as we only...More

Hi, Smith, I am not sure if your question is whether the staff at this guesthouse are friendly and kind? I would say yes. They are not hostile and if you ask for a cup of complimentary tea or coffee over the counter they will provide you with the cup and the tea or coffee bag. They also provide complimentary breakfast but the wifi is only available at the lobby and I saw many of the guests gathered around the lobby with their laptops. Their English proficiency level is just ok and if you ask more they may not be able to reply you. But generally speaking, as long as you make your own research, I do not think there is a need to ask them too much.
