The gers on the roof offer views of the city with rudimentary en suite facilities but for that price we didn't expect more. In the morning, for an early start we were invited into the kitchen for our cooked breakfast. We walked to the nearby monastery in the evening and Gana arranged for our taxi to the train station.

I love the area surrounding the Gandan Khiid temple. A local person told me that the city was thinking about renovating/ changing it, but the monks from the monastery were against it, so it hasn't happened (yet). Really amazing to see the difference between the dirt footpaths and the busy intersection only yards away. Gana's Guesthouse was an interesting space....

I spent two nights in a yurt on top of the hostel. It was sunny outside and I had a great staying here. It was pleasure to be in yurt in the center of Ulaanbaatar, 15 minutes’ walk to a main square. The gear had padlock with code 000, so you need to bring your own padlock to ensure nobody...

Acording to the reviews we expected a good place but it wasn't. The hostel is in very bad conditions and it has no mantinance. The room was very humid and it smelled so bad. They need to learn how to clean properly. Our room was quite dirty and it seemed they hadn't cleaned it: there was some hair in the...

We initially planned to be there for several days, but we had to shorten it. We were on the ground floor and our room felt humid, the sheets and floor felt wet. They did change the sheets after my request, but that really didn't change anything. We thought the staff was ok, but nothing more. The wifi was bad in...

We stayed in a private room with a separate shower for two nights, and the amenities were just right for the purpose of a short-time stay after a long drive. The place was clean, although the shower was a little unusual to my taste (with a window facing a room). Hot water, decent wifi and freshly made breakfast - that...

We had a 6 days' trip organised by Gana. It was great, we had a safe driver, his name was Bold (funny name but real). He drove us from UB to Kharkhorin via Elsen Tasarkhai plus Gorkhi Terelj on the way back including a night stay at Hustai National Park. We stayed 2 nights at Gana's Guesthouse in UB, as...

Here for 2 nights as part of the trans-siberian trip. Very unique and will stay in my memory for a while - staying in a yurt on the city rooftops while it was snowing! Incredible. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Good location. I'm really glad I stayed here.
