I visited the Terrace Bar to see the city as the sun went down. The Terrace does not face west so a little manoeuvring is required. The service was good but the yoghurt and lemon dip was just cream cheese and disappointing, the bread was dry although presentation was excellent. Paying in local currency means the conversion from dollars is...

First trouble started on the reception when the girl gave me a smoking room without even asking what do I prefer. I booked a single, but when I got into the room there were two separate beds, had to get back to reception to get one big. This is probably the dirtiest bathroom I ever seen in the hotel. Have...

I arrived about 03:30 AM in the morning I was dropped in a spacious room, about 35 M2, The room was heated so I put off the heating and that I did every night, for in Uzbekistan there seems to be no energy problem. In the morning there was a rich buffet and I had to be used that the...

For its location, facilities & especially not for its pool, except for the fact that the pool surrounds can be dangerous to those who are not especially careful. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel, had a large picture window & was spacious & clean. The breakfast buffet catered for all tastes & was generous, the staff were especially friendly...

Grand Mir is very well located; there is a metro station just a few meters away (Obyek), a small super market next door and a few restaurants and pubs in a walking distance. There is also a restaurant at the rooftop providing mainly Turkish and Uzbek dishes (steaks are good) as well as a spa at -1 floor (with some...

I stayed 2days in this hotel and was very good. No complaints. I was so happy with free wifi with high speed. Break fast was ok. There is lots of Indian people work and knew that hotel was pre owned by Indian guy. That's why my Uzbek college choose this hotel for me.

Large and comfortable rooms. Very close to the airport (about 5 min) I love the restourant Sultan which is in the first floor of the hotel. There you can find very delicious food of domestic kitchen. Also there is a fitness club, sauna & turkish hamam.

This looks like a regular Western 5 star hotel from the out side, but is really what you might of feared! a tired old Soviet hotel, sliding down into Uzbek standards. I am glad I ended up not booking here, and only having coffee in their little off the lobby bar. First the entire lobby smelled of tobacco, and dust.,and...

this is a transit hotel with most people staying one or two nights. It is a little dated, nevertheless it is comfortable and met all our needs. On one level i found them outstanding. Their reception staff on both occasions i stayed there were the best i have come across. They could not have been more helpful.

I have just returned home after staying for two weeks at the Grand Mir Hotel. My room was large and clean, with a comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom. During my stay the shower head bracket broke. I forgot to report this before leaving for work, but when I returned in the evening a new bracket had been fitted. My...
