I had an upgraded room with a nice view of the Bosporus.
The tv pay per view didn't work, not very many channels to pick from in English, breakfast was not very good.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, no pool.
I have gone to the hotel for dinner. Service was excellent. The restaurant which is located on lobby floor was nice.Bosphorus View which is not available to see from the restaurant was the negative thing in the hotel. Stuff was helpfull.
Fantastic experience at the hotel ...good staff ...good location 1 min away from Taksim Square...rite next to shopping area ...1 min metro station ...small hotel but good service and friendly staff ...good for family with kids too

Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening
nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

I have never paid for taxi because usually on my travels either my friends pick me up or I have a pick up arranged by the hotel. Anyways if the bus drops you off at Point and if you don't have too much luggage its not a problem as its a five minute walk across the park and you will get to Gezi Hotel.

Depending on traffic about 30 - 60 minutes or more if very heavy traffic in the rush hours. There is a shuttle bus to Taksim square near to your hotel. also there is a metro from Ataturk to Taksim square.
