Great location within walking distance of many key sights and a range of bars and restaurants. Rooftop restaurant had amazing views, a romantic atmosphere, good food and the staff were friendly. We were upgraded to a corner room which was faultless. Reception staff were very helpful and the whole experience was excellent value for money in what is now becoming...

Negatives: Yes there is some noise from outside a times - mainly traffic and not all the time - no noise from revellers at night though. More noise from adjacent shower/WC and females being a little vocal! The size of the one lift can be a problem especially if you have lots of suitcases and you are trying to make...

The treatment of people working in the hotel (reception, cleaning, bartenders, etc. ..) = excellent. Hotel Location = excellent The room= excellent The unforgettable view is priceless breakfast with those views. I'm from Barcelona and I always thought my town was very pretty. Fantastic location for sights, restaurants, shops, tram line and a beautiful & ancient Hamam. Good room (although a little short on storage for clothes if you are staying for more than a couple of nights), comfortable beds, good size shower but the drains gurgle quite loudly (from other rooms) and can be a little whiffy, good double glazing & air...

first of all staff was friendly. secondly this hotel has a great location. it is in the center of an old Istanbul. It is the highest hotel in that area and almost the whole city is visible from the veranda. and all i can say about the restaurant is that they have an excellent brownie with ice cream

Perfectly located, clean, very nice mornings and evenings on the terrace. A quiet hotel a few minutes away from all the main attractions. The staff is very friendly, maybe a little too much...:) We would definitely stay at Adamar again!

Wow, we stayed 4 nights in this lovely and cute Hotel. The rooms are not very big but it is enough as you just will be in the room to sleep. No need for more space. The lacation is, as we say in German: "Hammer!". You will be in the heart of the old City, near the Blue Mosque, Aya...

We didn't stay here, but we ate at the rooftop restaurant. It was our last dinner in Istanbul and we were celebrating my father's birthday, so may husband and I went searching for the perfect rooftop restaurant for this meal. We personally checked a handful of the tallest rooftops in the Old City, and this was by far the best....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
