You walk into the Witt and immediately feel the serenity of a beautiful and peaceful space. In a city that teems with activity, this hotel is the most perfect oasis imaginable. The staff is lovely - kind, helpful in every way possible, thoughtful, accommodating. The rooms are beyond lovely - huge space, gorgeous design. The most perfect shower of all...

Hello, Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We will even work harder to keep the same level of service and maintenance that you have enjoyed. You have even compared us with 4 seasons and Ritz, but let us not increase our guests' expectations :). They are really 2 great chain hotels that we can learn a lot from....

Just returned from a weeks stay at The Witt and was one of the best hotel experiences in recent memory. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, the rooms spacious and well appointed. The location, in Cihangir, was perfect for me. Far removed from the chaos of Sultanhamet, yet close enough to all that Beyoglu has to offer. A true...

My vacation in Turkey ended in Istanbul at the Witt Istanbul Suite. What a great way to round up a most pleasant holiday. The modern & tasteful decor welcomes the traveller as on steps through the door. Travel guides, novels and books on designs lined book shelves in the lounge area. That to me is most inviting indeed. A Mac...

The following things have made our stay in the Witt Istanbul Hotel unforgettable: The location: A short stroll uphill leads to the Taksim Sqare, wheras a short walk downhill from the hotel the "Tophane" tram stop is located. From there the most famous sights of Istanbul can easily be reached. At the same time, the hotel is located in a...

There really isn't any need for me to write about the staff; everyone says they are superb - and they are. But more than that, they make the hotel what it is. The hotel itself is modern and swanky, but not too pretentious - enough of little touches here and there for it to be a comfortable (albeit luxurious) home...

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at the Witt. We were given room 42 which was a corner room with a great view of the Bosphorus and the domes and minarets of the skyline of old-istanbul. The room was great, huge and very design-led. We loved the stylish shower room, generous molton brown products and the enormous bed!...

The Witt is a spectacular, quite corner of Istanbul that graciously and effortlessly welcomes her guests and sees to every detail with a nuanced and careful eye. From the sophisticated and elegant lobby, the welcome from a staff of professional, to the suite's careful appointments. The location is IDEAL. A quick walk to Taxim Square and an equally lovely walk...

I just returned from a 3-day stay at the Witt and have nothing but superlativs to describe the experience. The Witt offers elegant accommodations in its spacious suites along with first-rate service by a competent and friendly staff. The top floors offer fabulous views of the old city and the Bosporus. The location in the up-and-coming Cihangir area is off...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Witt Istanbul Suites has an excellent location within walking distance from Istanbul's business district, Istanbul Modern museum and the buzzing bars and boutiques of both Beyoglu and Cihangir. All 15 suites span a generous 60m2. They are popular for long-stay guests as each has a Carrera marble-clad kitchenette with microwave, fridge and Nespresso machine. The super-cool beds with curved headboards and the laptop desks have been especially designed for Witt Istanbul Suites by Autoban. Sheets and towels were also commissioned from Denizli, a famous purveyor of Turkish linen. Cable TV, an excellent DVD collection, ipod docks and a welcome gift of multi-coloured macaroons are indulgent touches. But it's the bathrooms that make these suites really special. The ergonomic Corian sinks with pebble-shaped handles and the cluster of shower-heads that create a cocoon of misty hot water are all from designer Ross Lovegrove's Istanbul collection from Vitra. ... more   less
