Nice enough but lazy staff. My room 301 the air conditioning would be set but never to what I wanted. It then migrates to colder temperatures. Woke up freezing. Turn it off. Then wake up sweating. Turn it on. Repeat. Finally went down in the am to talk to the front desk. He said he would be up instead went... More

Great location, just walking distance to most of tourist attraction!!! Because of the time of our flight we booked a transfer airport/hostel but they forgot and we had to get a bus which ended up being better (much cheaper). We booked a double bed private room but we were accommodated in a twin bed room. The common areas were clean... More

Stayed here for the first time in 2014, liked it so much that I came again in the summer of 2015. The location is superb, rooms comfortable, bathrooms very clean and the breakfast on the terrace a treat. And all that for very little money. Will most certainly come here for my third stay in Istanbul.

This hostel is in a good location in Sultanahmet and the room was very nice. We could walk to all the main attractions. The view from the terrace where breakfast is served was wonderful. The staff were helpful but not very chatty - made it feel a bit awkward at times.

I stayed in the hostel section. The breakfast was great (from cereal to fruit to eggs), the bed was comfortable enough (also had the curtains that go around the bed for privacy) and was close to basically everything. Public transport is only 5 minutes away for the tram. Hands down greateat hostel in Istanbul.

I traveled last year before summer and this hotel was a very good choice! Room clean and very comfortable, staff friendly and location perfect (10 min walk to Blue mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palce) Breakfast on the terrace was good with an amazing view. This hotel is also the right place to meet new people among the travelers

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
