I stayed at Osmanhan Hotel 3 nights and loved this tiny and cozy boutique hotel. It's very clean always, comfortable. Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Topkapi Palace and other spots are very close. And, the most attractive point of Osmanhan is the sea-view terrace, in which they serve breakfast with well-selected cheeses, olives, fresh fruits, vegetables and good-taste coffee and tea....

We spent two nights here in late July 2013. The owners and staff are very nice, speak excellent English, and were always ready to help with information or a tip on where to go. It is in a great location in the old town, and has a very nice rooftop terrace for watching the sunset. We sat there and had...

This lovely hotel is situated in Istanbul, very close to many great places for tourists to visit. One of my favorite thing while staying there was the cozy feeling it had, mainly due to the staff, that was really friendly. The rooms are cute, clean, comfortable, and they had TVs with cable channels. We also had wireless high speed Internet...

We stayed here for a short break in early July. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good air con, but the biggest plus is the hotel's central location and fantastic views from its rooftop/breakfast terrace. You look one way over the minarets of the Blue Mosque and the other over the waters of the Sea of Marmara. The hotel...

We booked this hotel based on the comments from other reviewers, and were not disappointed in the slightest -- in fact, it was a pleasure to stay here. Each time we came back from our adventures of the day, it was like being welcomed home by family. All the staff were lovely, from the front desk at ground level to...

Osmanhan was not my first preference, but I am so glad I picked Osmanhan for our stay in Istanbul. One cannot ask for a better location than Osmanhan. It was less than 5 mins walk to the major sights. The rooms were a little small but very clean and nice with comfortable bed. The rooms are sound proof and we...

Can't fault the location or the staff at this small but perfectly located hotel. Rooms on the small side but adequate, perfectly clean and stocked well including mini bar. The breakfast was lovely and served on the rooftop terrace with beautiful views. Also able to take a bottle of wine or beer ( free coffee) up there any time. Perfect...

Great location walking distance from major sights and trolley buses. Staff were very welcoming and helpful carrying our heavy luggage up three flights of stairs! No elevator! Room was nice and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and TV and AC. First place we found in Turkey that actually supplies toilet rolls! Breakfast on terrace with sea view was...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
