We had room 22 on the first floor (with view over the street in front) It was clean and nicely furnished, if a little small for a 5 night stay, but the room was lovely and warm and the shower was powerful and there was always hot water. Breakfast was lovely, simple but fresh with lovely omlettes and brown bread,...

We stayed two nights and received a great welcome from Fatih at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful and professional. He spoke English beautifully and helped us out when we had a change of itinerary and needed help with our air tickets. We stayed in a ground floor double which is the hotel's lowest cost room. It was very...

Located in the heart of Old Town this hotel is ideally situated to visit all the historic sight in Istanbul with ease! My sister and I stayed at the Osmanhan Hotel at the end of October for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it! The location was excellent and the staff was beyond excellent. During our time there, we felt as if we were staying with family. We came in on a late night/early morning flight and took a cab to the...

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in early October in room 11 on the ground floor. The room was compact but sufficient in all respects. We had no noise issues. To us the Osmanhan had no shortcomings and our experience there was all positive. The rooftop terrace is a real gem. Our breakfasts there were ample and varied. We...

hotel rooms are Clean and nice. Good breakfast with nice views, very very helpful and nice staff. Close to all amenities. This is what you need after a busy day travelling around busy Istanbul. Returned twice! And will do again.

This is definitely a great place to stay when visiting Istanbul on a citytrip! The staff is very friendly and helpfull. We stayed here for 3 nights in the ground floor double room, which has no view but is easily accessible - almost no stairs (check the hotels website for pictures) which is nice after a long day walking around...

Since I only had two days in Istanbul ( arrived at 6 am and left two days later at 4 am) I wanted a central location, comfort and airport transportation. The Osmanhan was perfect. When I arrived expecting to have to drop off my luggage and then find some caffeine, they sent me up to the lovely rooftop terrace even...

We had an excellent 7 day stay at this quaint hotel. With only a few rooms, excellent service (including a lovely breakfast daily), we felt right at home, rather than tourists staying in a hotel. I've never had such excellent service from a personnel standpoint. The rooms were very clean and had modern bathrooms. You don't spend much time in...

We arrived very early and they were most helpful. Took our bags in, gave us a free breakfast and a map for us to go exploring. Great advice on where to eat and arranged our transport to and from Airport as well as a boat trip on the Bosphorus for us. Excellent location and good breakfast with a view from...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
