This hotel has a great location across sultanahmed area but their rooms are so small but very clean. It's near to the main location to visiting it. You can ask to upgrade your room .. unfortunately no balcony applicable.

We treated our adult daughter to a trip to Istanbul and booked to stay at the Arden City Hotel. What a brilliant decision. The hotel is in the heart of the old city, Sultanahmet, close to Aya Sofia (Sophia Mosque), the Blue Mosque, Hippodrom remains and just a few minutes walk to anywhere. It was absolutely terrific. We walked a...

I visited Istanbul for the first time with my mother on wheelchair. I wanted a good decent "accessible" hotel close to all three major attractions in Sultanahmet. Arden City Hotel was wheelchair accessible and it has a working elevator. Please note that in Istanbul, all hotels are not accessible, so you need to ask before booking. Check-in process was smooth....

Its a good place .. really clean and very helpful staff. Walking distance from all the major sights. The rooms are alittle bit smaller than the photos in the website but it works for me .. surrounded by shops and restaurants. And for shisha smokers it's the best area to stay and its only for 20 turkish liras . I...

Arrived Istanbul on 6/7/16. After an absolutely horrendous 3 1/2 hour experience at Ataturk Airport, it was a very comforting 'breath of fresh air' to arrive late afternoon at the Arden City Hotel. The hotel reception area looked very stylish and upmarket. Hassan greeted us by name as we walked in the front door. He arranged a cold drink for...

I visited Arden city hotel in July with my family. Found the overall environment very peaceful and the staff extremely friendly and cooperative. The rooms were very comfortable with overall home like environment. Breakfast has to be the main stay with multiple options from fruits, sweet and sour all in one buffet. The room service is also very efficient and...

From arrival to departure, our stay at the Arden City Hotel was excellent. Our room was small and sunny and the view was lovely. Breakfast was fabulous. The staff were smiley and friendly and helpful. Cake and juice was always on offer in the lobby, and I was offered coffee and tea several times. We were also offered drinks on...

We recently stayed at the Arden city hotel in the sultanahmet district of istanbul. We enjoyed the stay due to the central location of the hotel, comfortable rooms, great free breakfast, and very helpful staff. We particularly liked the manager, Mr Hasan Aybaba who was professional and explained to us in detail all the things to see, what to watch...

Stayed here for 2 nights in June 2016. Room on the small side but clean and tidy. Air conditioning worked well. Has roof top bar. Good views. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is in excellent position. 4 to 5 minute walk to Grand Bizarre. Spice market and a few mosques. Plenty of restaurants around. Breakfast bar good. Would recommend this...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
