Arrived Istanbul on 6/7/16. After an absolutely horrendous 3 1/2 hour experience at Ataturk Airport, it was a very comforting 'breath of fresh air' to arrive late afternoon at the Arden City Hotel. The hotel reception area looked very stylish and upmarket. Hassan greeted us by name as we walked in the front door. He arranged a cold drink for... More

I visited Arden city hotel in July with my family. Found the overall environment very peaceful and the staff extremely friendly and cooperative. The rooms were very comfortable with overall home like environment. Breakfast has to be the main stay with multiple options from fruits, sweet and sour all in one buffet. The room service is also very efficient and... More

From arrival to departure, our stay at the Arden City Hotel was excellent. Our room was small and sunny and the view was lovely. Breakfast was fabulous. The staff were smiley and friendly and helpful. Cake and juice was always on offer in the lobby, and I was offered coffee and tea several times. We were also offered drinks on... More

We recently stayed at the Arden city hotel in the sultanahmet district of istanbul. We enjoyed the stay due to the central location of the hotel, comfortable rooms, great free breakfast, and very helpful staff. We particularly liked the manager, Mr Hasan Aybaba who was professional and explained to us in detail all the things to see, what to watch... More

Hotel is in excellent position. 4 to 5 minute walk to Grand Bizarre. Spice market and a few mosques. Plenty of restaurants around. Breakfast bar good. Would recommend this... More

Nice Hotel, situated in the ver centre of the old town. There are only touristic facilitys and Restaurants nearby, so don´t expect anything authentic. The rooms offer turkish chic, but are very spacious. All in all, a very nice place within Walking distance to the ancient part of Constantinopel.

The main reason for choosing the hotel was its location and price. It's perfectly located, especially for a first time visitor who wants to cover the main sights. Aya Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar are all within walking distance. Other sights, such as the Spice Bazaar and the Suleymaniye Mosque are a slightly longer walk or... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
