A quiet, friendly and (unlike so many of its competitors) thoroughly unpretentious little hotel, staffed by very polite and helpful people, with comfortable rooms and beds and a simple but delicious breakfast on offer in a rooftop dining area overlooking the Sea of Marmara. Excellent value for money on the whole. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone... More

We stayed here for 4 nights as a couple. The location is good but located downside a hill so you need a bit energy to walk from hotel to main road. Its just 10 mins walk from Blue Mosque and 15 mins walk from tram station. Room was nice and big in size .. neat and clean but the hotel... More

Everything was ok. Staff was amazing and the hotel is very nice. Position of this hotel is very important in case you want to visit old Istambul. Have parking area free and safe. Room was ok with cleaning every day.

Visited Istanbul for six nights in November 2015 and this hotel was part of the overall experience. Just a ten minute walk to the Blue Mosque, the Berce Hotel is neatly tucked away on a quiet side street with lots of hotels, restaurants and small shops nearby. The hotel is like an over-sized "B & B" with only six rooms plus... My stay at Berce Hotel was very pleasing. Mehmet and his team were warm, hospitable and generally a pleasure to even just converse with! The room was fine - cosy, comfortable and clean. The location is ideal - close to the metro station and to the main city attractions, whilst itself in a nice, quiet area. As I am a... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
