Was on business at the Beyoglu district in Istanbul during the time. Certainly enjoyed the stay at Tunel Residence. Whilst not able to avail of its other services, its own restaurant is certainly charming and has an efficient service. I must admit the Standard Double bedroom space may prove to be of limited manoeuvrability. But appropriately kitted out, with some...

Rooms are almost the same size with the bed. Also kitsch. And expensive. You can find five stars hotel with these prices. Photos are belong to one or two rooms. Even that rooms are so small. But the location is not so bad.

We have 18sqm-32sqm-65sqm and 75sqm rooms. Each room offers its own comforts. If you prefer a quiet room at the back you may choose an 18sqm room, or if you prefer a larger room for 2 you may choose 32sqm double room facing the front, if you, on the other hand wish for a acommodation with a fully equipped kitchen,...

I have stayed at Tunel residence for one night for business trip in Istanbul. As I got upgraded to superior room, I can not make a comment about the standard rooms, but the room I got was bigger than a hotel room, clean and light. Especially for business trips, almost everything is being provided such as iron, deep wardrobes, enough...

My family consisting of 4 adults + 2 young children stayed 7 days in Tunel Residence. We all enjoyed the stay including: excellent location, good recepiention staff, and exiting Golden Horn view. We decided to revisit the same place during our future trip to Istanbul.

This trip was several years ago. We chhose the hotel to be near the departure dock for our Windstar cruise. We were cared for like beloved aging parents in a beautiful suite. They made sure we got tour and taxi drivers who spoke English. It was cold and rainy most of the time we were there - but we were...

Midsize hotel in Beyoglu, not far down from the Tunel upper station. Well laid-out rooms, Standard ones quite small (difficult for two people) and out back, pleasant bathroom w/ all amenities. Well furnished, though a bit used. Good bed, fridge, A/C, blinds. 7 floors, front rooms out on a square. If breakfast is incl. in your rate, it is one...

It was very good as a whole. When I arrived at the hotel, I was cheated by the taxi driver. Though it was already after the driver had gone, the front desk clerks helped me a lot and gave some advice. They also helped me by answering my questions quickly or giving me some recommendations. But it's pretty difficult to...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
