Rifat was an excellent host, very friendly & knowledgeable. Hostel is located in the heart of old town close to everything. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are clean. Cool rooftop terrace for hanging out. Nice breakfast too. Only downside is there's no kitchen.

Hamid is a wonderful and friendly host. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to spend our very limited time in Istanbul visiting its main attractions. The time we spent inside the hostel was comfortable and clean, with fast wifi and beautiful views from the rooftop terrace. Would absolutely stay here again.

This is a great hostel in a perfect location run by Rifat, the most friendly host imaginable. He gave me great recommendations and tea. Breakfast is also good; there are even eggs! felt super safe there and would definitely go back.

The owner was extremely friendly welcoming us with tea upon arrival. He gave us an outline of where to go in the city and sat with us to chat out in the cafe at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable with basic toiletries (soap, shampoo) provided. The location is a short walking distance from some of the main monuments...

The hostel was very clean and had everything I needed. You cannot beat the location... It is 1 minute from the metro, and 5 minutes from so many desired destinations in Istanbul such as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Spice Market, Grand Bazar, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, and more... 20 minute metro ride from Taksim Area and easy to get...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
