We stayed at Hotel Seraglio for five nights at the beginning of our trip and then a final night before flying home. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly, and the hotel clean and comfortable. We found our room to be quite large and comfortable, with plenty of room for two adults and a 5-year-old. The air conditioning worked well...

We stayed in Seraglio Hotel 5 nights, in the middle of august 2012. We choose Seraglio cause we found a lot of good reviews on TripAdvisor and after our stay we confirm other users good impressions. Rooms furniture was very new, bathroom was small but well equipped (very large shower!). We stayed in 2 different rooms and we had no...

We stayed at the Seraglio in November 2011 with our daughters ages 8, 10. The driver was at the airport when we arrived. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Kennan gave us great advice and helped us map out our days. It was rainy season and they always had umbrellas available for us...

This hotel is awesome. I am Turkish who lives in USA. My girlfriend and I came to istanbul & have found this place coincidently which I am so glad to find it. The room was very clean and neat. Also it was very quiet but most importantly the staff was highly educated, nice and helpful. If you are looking for...

We had 7 rooms at this hotel for a family vacation. Great location for walking everywhere. They picked us up at the airport if you pay cash which was very nice. They arranged Turkish bath reservations and dinner recommendations. The rooms varied in size but all were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with eggs made to order and...

Even though we didn't take advantage... Easy walk to everywhere.. Room next to reception was a bit noisy but I had ear plugs so lived with it.. Definately would stay here...

I am currently still staying at this hotel for another 2 nights but could not help to write what a pleasant experience it has been so far. I booked this hotel based on other reviews on TripAdvisor And I have not been disappointed. From the time we arrived with a nice cold drink served, to the deluxe room at a...

Seraglio starts off against tough competition - most places in Istanbul we went to, do their best to be hospitable - and comes out in flying colours. They are so flexible and willing to ensure you get the best time out of your vacation that after some time one starts feeling that you are taking advantage of them! But only...

Kenan and Jelar (day and night managers), and the entire staff of the Hotel Seraglio, make you feel like a visitor to a home rather than just guests in a hotel. No question was too much, no request too extreme, and they shared much of their own lives with us. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable. We stayed in the...

In a nutshell, I rarely give 5's for any place and for me to give it to a hotel requires a great pool, etc etc. That's the only reason I don't give Seraglio Hotel a 5. This small hotel is a gem. It's about a quarter mile slightly downhill from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. There are many...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
