Stayed here with my partner for 3 nights. Location is great as it is in Sultanahmet, only about 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque. Although it was quite hard to find this hotel at first. Getting there by tram:We took the metro train from right beneath Ataturk Airport to Zeytinburnu station, and changed to tram until Sultanahmet Square. Cross...

My friend and I recently booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at the Serenity Hotel in Istanbul. There was only one room when we arrived. They had messed up the booking. This was disappointing as we booked months in advance. I wanted to look for another hotel but the owner offered to put me up in his friend's hotel and...

We lived in apartment near hotel, it was not far from St.Sophia and Mosque, very convenient and comfortable place. All stuff tried to help us with accomodation, transfer and other questions. I recommend this place - small price for good service.

Room 101, it was spacious and clean. The reception staff was very helpful and friendly. I stayed 5 nights (6 Aug till 10 Aug) and found only one problem, I complained about the commode flushing system but it wasn't taken care. The room cleaning was excellent. There is one lady all in the hotel, who prepares/serve the breakfast and then...

We booked a room for three nights and 350 Euros. We got a room next to the reception desk (No. 101), the room was worn down, not dirty, but just not the style you expect from a room that costs more than 100 euros per night. And: We heard every word that was spoken at the front desk, many guests...

I stayed at this hotel from February 6-13, I paid for a week just 105 euro. Good staff especially a man who sits in the afternoon and the woman who cleans the room, a very kind woman. Small comfortable hotel. I really enjoyed my stay there, the hotel for those who are not looking for luxury, but for those who...

I went there with my best friend in December 2012 and stayed for 2 nights. The location is great for tourists - you're just 5 minutes away from The Blue Mosque and Ayasofya. Breakfast is simple but tasty and included in the room price - coffee, Turkish tea, boiled eggs, different kinds of cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, cereal, bread, jam etc.....

Personnel: always helpful, kind and smiling. Hotel location: great if you like to experience the real, old charming Turkey. Hotel: a bit small, nice little terras to eat the breakfast, room a bit small, but good enough if you are planning to stay out all day and just need a place to sleep and wash. Cheap. The cleaning lady was...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
