We arrived at the hotel a bit earlier then the check in hour and because our room wasn t ready, they offered us a beautiful suite with no extra charges! A nice and clean suite with a relaxing bed, AC in every room, house cleaning daily...i can't say anithing bad. I really enjoy it! Careful personel, ok breakfast! Very close... More

This really is a tale of two halves. Our first visit to Istanbul and we booked a bargain break through British Airways. On arrival on 26/2 we were allocated Room 101, a basement room with a tiny en-suite, no window, bare wires on the hairdryer and in dire need of refurbishment. The room and bedding were clean but it really... More

Firstly the location is perfect 30seconds from the blue mosque. The staff and service is the best I've experienced. Firstly we were upgraded rooms at no extra price without even asking. Then everyday the service was great. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

A great place to stay visiting Istanbul. No only one of the best locations, but also very professional managing the hotel. Never a problem. Actually outstanding. Breakfast fulfilled our expectations. An incredible view of Blue Mosque from our apartment window.

a comfortable hotel with kind staff with perfect location. The breakfast here is simple but good. Especially big thanks to the staff. It is the kindness of these staff that make our trip in Istanbul so amazing.

The main draw of this hotel is it's location, just off the hippodrome and only a couple of minutes' walk to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. Sultanahmet tram station is about 5 minutes' walk, and from here it is really cheap and easy to access other parts of Istanbul. The staff at the hotel could not be nicer, they... More

Helpful and friendly staff. In an excellent quiet location just a short walk from major sites including the Blue Mosque. Plenty of good restaurants within a short walk. Good breakfast and clean comfortable room.

We booked through BA so we did get an amazing deal. However, room rates are £150 for a double per night and we stayed in a basement room with damp on ceiling! Breakfast was truly continental but was fine to eat. On our second day there the bathroom flooded and we were without water. So no showers. Staff are incredibly... More

This may not be a fancy 5 star palace but it has to be one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The staff are super helpful and friendly, it is clean and perfectly placed for exploring old Istanbul. Our only complaint would be that the bathroom was a bit poky but the rest made up for that easily.... More

After a thorough search for hotels in the old city, my husband and I decided to stay for 6 nights at this beautiful old hotel . It was my husband's second visit to Turkey and my first, so we wanted something really close to the historic area. Its location is superb. Just one block from Sultanahmet square (very close to... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
