This hotel is situated very close to Taksim Square. The actual residence apartments I stayed in were further back down a slopey and windy street where a lot of local people hang around at all hours. The girls I were with felt a little intimidated by them and we often walked a longer way around to avoid, but personally I...

The hotel is located in a narrow street which is the only down side of the hotel. The person at reception, Mesut Abus, was really nice and showed me where all the transport was, how to get places. The room was small, but very clean. I would say it was a good place if you are either on a business...

If u are looking for a good deal in Istanbul which is normally a quite pricey place to stay 3 Apples Residence can be an excellent alternative. Paid a nice amount of money for a double room and stayed there 3 nights. Location is a point of discussion coz if u are not a single lady or a group of...

This property was a little difficult to get to via cab since it is in a working class neighborhood where there aren't any other hotels. Our driver found the main building where we checked into the small office lobby (nice,English speaking manager). They rolled our luggage to our apartment via a few winding streets, about a 5 minute walk. Nice...

Nice Ground floor room with a patio. Friendly staff, especially night security guard who was always vigilant. Stayed for 2 weeks. Room was cleaned 2-3 times a week which was enough. Dishwasher, Microwave, kettle, stove, and fridge. Laundry room in the basement. Nice cheap grocery store hardly a minute walk away. The air-conditioner in the room is very powerful. While...

We (three girls) stayed at Three Apples Residence for 4 nights in September. The room was pretty small but yet absolutely enough for us and lots of space to put your things. Clean and really fresh, even with a dish washer. Small balcony. The location was great, really close to Taksim square and the shopping and bar/restaurant district around Istiklal....

Ok, the first issue I have is that I booked this via expedia.com but the real booking was made by booking.com so the total advance cost was not taken by Expedia. That is an important point as Expedia, who normally charges their customers for all costs in advance, could not control this "hotel" as they could with their normal suppliers....

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
