Central place to stay in Istanbul, nice personnel and very abundant breakfast. We liked it very much, I can offer it to everyone for a first visit when you want to see the old town - this place is in a walk's distance from everything. Clean and tidy.

Stayed here three nights, and loved the location. So very handy to the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque etc. Our room however was tiny and dark, with a very small window which looked out into a narrow gap between buildings (not at all like the pictures on the website). Breakfast was adequate. The staff were very helpful.

Had a fantastic few days in Istanbul staying at Hotel Perula with our three children. Even even before we arrived the staff were responsive to emails and arranged an extra bed and airport transfers. Clean and well equipped rooms, plentiful and delicious breakfast and very helpful staff. Location super too. We'd come again.

We stayed for two nights and loved the hotel. The rooms are small but very clean. The hotel arranged transportation and guide for us. The food for breakfast was well assorted. They had cheeses, meats, olives, yogurt, cereals, fruit, and more. The staff was always available and friendly. They have a Turkish bath downstairs too. This hotel is in a...

The hotel is in a great location in Sultanahmet and in close walking distance to everything.the staff were very helpful although one or two or them, not surprisingly, struggle with their English. The staff were able to organise tours gorgeous us and also transfers to the airport. The room was a bit small but fairly well appointed.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“We were in room 104--it was small but just fine for the two of us, quiet, not really a view but we did have a window (& were really on in the room at night), had great AirCon. I also liked that it was not right at the lift so we never heard anything from there while we were in our room either. Also, I appreciated that they offered to change our room, occupancy permitting, if we happened not to like it. But, as I said, it was very nice, quiet & just fine for us! They do have bigger rooms for families etc.”
