My parents and I stayed in a triple room for 4 nights. Room was very small but it faced the Marmara sea and the view's beautiful! Being an Ottoman style building (and so are the other buildings around the area), it has no lift. The highest floor (level 6) is the terrace where guests have complimentary breakfast with the beautiful...

This hotel was good quality for the budget. It is in a very convenient location in the old city - close to the very popular tourist sites (Sofia Aya, the Cistern, Blue Mosque etc.) Our first room's blowdryer and phone did not work so they moved us to another room. The next room's bathroom did not have a door handle....

We spent 2 nights at this nice littel hotel and found the staff very friendly and helpful. If you have the possibility to book a room with sea-view it will be worth it. On the top floor there is a terrace with breakfast-room which gives you nice views to Sultan Ahmed and Blue Mosque as well as the Marmara Sea...

Not much of a walk to the main attractions of Istanbul-there are nice tradional type of shops on the way to keep your eyes inspired. Good thing I like cats-they are everywhere! The rooms are comfortable but small- who cares-you only want to be there to sleep anyway. Legs ache to reach the balcony (steps) for breakfast- However, once on...

My stay at this hotel was not comfortable. Very close to the metro so noisy at night and no elevator. The first day I got there, I opened the minibar and the door of the minibar came into my hand. Sophie had it changed but there were other things that were not good. The bed is v uncomfortable, hard as...

Blue tuana is in a perfect location making it easy to pop and take photos of the blue mosque and hagia sophia early in the morning before the crowds arrived. The rooms are efficient, the singles on the basement floor are particularly compact, but when visiting somewhere my room is just for sleeping so why would I need more? There...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“Stay on the 5th flr so that others dont disturb you ! But bear in mind no elevator . Pl bear in mind this is only for the proximity of the Blue mosque/ Aya Sophia . Definitely NOT to relax ,enjoy n easy going holiday . It is only meant to come in and Sleep after a long tiring day ! Certainly Not worth the money one has to pay !”
