Some of the older reviews for Blue Eye are clearly for another property. We were expecting an air conditioned double room but we're given a suite with air conditioning in the living room/kitchen only. It was very hot in the bedroom and as the cleaners opened the windows there were mosquitoes in the room. No breakfast buffet as mentioned on...

Stayed with my family, most attractions are nearby. The apartment is average size with all self catering equipments, close to shops within walking distance. Grand bazaar is 10 minutes walk also blue mosque is 15 minutes, will visit again.

I would rate it higher if the location is more closer to Blue Mosque and if it comes with a better breakfast. Overall, it's not too bad with the price we paid per night. The place is quiet and the apartment is situated in a somewhat local neighborhood. There are some cheap hotels not far from Blue Eyes too. So,...

Hotel was well located and within walking distance to the main sights. Lovely clean and bright room and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful with arranging transport to and from the airport. Nice little patio garden where you can escape to with a free cup of coffee which is always available in the main eating area. Breakfast...

Everything was great. The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, everything looked exactly as it did in the pictures, good breakfast, good quiet location but still within walking distance of all the main attractions. Due to some dietary restrictions we needed a full kitchen to do some cooking during our stay and this was one of the few places...

I stayed here this week with a family group of six ladies of varying ages. I researched and carefully for the best location and a nice-sounding hotel and Blue Eye Suites was it! We were really happy with our stay here (even the candles on the first night due to a power cut was a bit of fun!). Sahin and...

This hotel was brilliant. The cleanliness, friendliness of staff and ideal central location made it the perfect place to stay whilst in Istanbul! Staff were so unbelievably helpful and went above and beyond what they needed to do, in particular when our flight got cancelled staff arranged alternative flight and airport transfer for us! We were walking distance from all...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
