I stayed at the Amethyst Hotel in Istanbul for four nights. It was a comfortable hotel with delicious full Turkish breakfasts each morning. Great location to sites, shops and the Grand Bazaar. Helpful folks at the desk.

The hotel had a very nice lobby. However, I found the rooms to be very small. I traveled with my girlfriend. There was no space to set up and live out of our luggage. Also the air conditioning didn't work very well even after reporting it for repair.. We did open a window at night to get some air but... More

Stayed in this hotel as part of a tour group for three nights at the start of our tour. It is certainly not the best hotel I have stayed at but it was quite reasonable, comfortable and clean. After all it was only a room to sleep in as we were out quite a bit seeing the sights so it... More

In general hotel is good. It has good location, just about 5 min walk to Aksaray metro station so can get from/to airport without any problem. What I didn't like there so that room was small, wardrobe was very small and without shelves, so that for 2 persons was not enough place in it. I liked that in hotel were... More

Unbelievable. Got swindled into paying triple the online rate. And then was told the front desk could do nothing about it. They refused even to print a receipt...had to call police to get a receipt., but more than all that, the place is a dive. 'Spacious king room with spectacular views in Sultanahmet' was actually a closet in Fatih with... More

Our proposal : better not to stay in this hotel. Take care of your belongings ! Breakfast: enough , but not tasty as Turkish kitchen is. Location : walking distance to the main places of tourist interest such as Sultanahmet, Topkapi Palace.... But. Aksaray is "Commercial" region of Istanbul as Grand Bazar is there.

It was shown on sites that every room has jetted bathtub so we booked but in reality they didn't... Most of the hotel staffs mainly the front desk people were extremely rude, not at all helpfull. Straight-faced while talking without any smile,... More

The place was a proper 4 star hotel. The entrance design and the restaurant is a bit cramped but the service food quality is good. I never got time to try out the pool but it looked pretty different from others. We stayed at the suite and it was quite luxurious. The room is good in size and we had... More
