Recently met my daughter and friend met here after their semester at sea. The biggest plus goes to the location and friendliness of the staff. One of the owners is English speaking and was quite accommodating by providing recommendations for activities and side trips. She coordinated a wonderful side trip to Cappadocia for us which we are still talking about....

We had to move to this hotel for two night when our flight was suddenly cancelled. Surprisingly it appeared much better as compared to all photos that we saw in web. In fact it is something between guesthouse and hotel. The location is excellent it is right in front of Aya Sophia, there is a terrace with a sea view...

The hotel staff is perfect, unbelievably friendly and very helpful. Very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast served was also...

The room was so small that our luggage was occupying the whole free area of the room (even though we only had one suitcase). Manager/owner was alright - helpful and nice. The location is perfect for sightseeing the historic part of Istanbul. Bathroom is kind of gross but usable. Our room faced the small street where the hotel is located...

We paid extra for a room which promised a "panoramic" view of the sea. It had some view, but was certainly not "panoramic". In 6 days we had no clean towels. It was difficult to return to our room during the day, as the cleaner needed to access our room to use the power point in our room to vacuum...

It is a decent place with no unpleasant surprises. The location is very good, the staff is friendly and works hard. The breakfast is decent indeed. You can also have snacks and bottled water during daytime for free. The rooms are smaller than I expected though. They try to keep it clean as well.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
