We stayed at this hotel at my uncle's recommendation. The best place you can stay in the old city. Walking distance to all the major attractions. No need to take a taxi which can sometimes be a hairy experience in Istanbul. I would highly recommend it. Thank you Mr. Malik for your kindness.

This is a small very well located hotel for sightseeing in Sultanahamet and the Bosphorus. It is very well run and managed by Ali and Memduh the general manager. Everything is catered for both in the hotels rooms and in the excellent breakfast provided with plenty for everyone. It is the first time we have stayed at Aristocrat but I will...

It's a good hotel, neat , and clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is near many attractions in Sultanahmet. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel if you like to enjoy walking in the relaxing parks and historical spots.

This hotel offers transportation to and from the airport and is ideally located. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is my second stay and I would highly recommend it. The breakfast has a wide variety of offerings that are very appealing and tasty. Love this hotel!

Very basic but the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful at every turn. It was very clean. They helped us with maps where to eat and any other information we needed. They provide a shuttle service to and from airport (extra cost of course--but reasonable!). The breakfast was very good Turkish buffet fair and the breakfast room very...

We spent 5 days at the Aristocrat Hotel. It is right around the corner from the Blue Mosque and at the heart of Sultanahmet district. Great location, good rooms, good all inclusive breakfast and an amazing staff.

The chief attraction of the Aristocrat Hotel is its location. It is in the heart of the Sultanahmet district, literally a stone's throw from the Aga Sophia and the Blue Mosque. In fact, you have a front row seat, for good or bad, for the calls to prayer five times a day. The hotel itself is small but comfortable and...

The hotel is located in the old Istanbul. It's only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and other attractions. You can walk to the Grand Bazzar, Spice Market, etc. You don't have to talk tours. It's very do-able ON FOOT. Save money. Close to restaurants, etc. The food of more authentic in the markets and side streets off...

Well firstly this is the biggest shower we've had since being in Turkey - a plus as my father is not a small guy! Great breakfast and pleasant service. We've stayed here two nights at the end of our 3 week Turkey holiday. Great location near the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya - go see them lit up at night!...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
