This is a great, small (10 or 12 rooms) and lovely place in Karakoy, one of the port areas of Istanbul - a 5 minute tram ride over the bridge to the tourist-trap areas of old Istanbul around the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cisterns, Topkapi palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar etc, and a 5 minute tram or metro ride... I booked a superior double room which was modern, airy, and spacious. The room felt like home for five nights. Although there are a lot of restaurants and clubs in the area, the hotel was very quiet at night. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily, and the refrigerator was stocked with complimentary water. Good WiFi. I used the laundry... More

Karakoy rooms is a great boutique hotel in Istanbul! Especially Karakoy Dist. is an interesting area full with lots of nice restaurants and cafe, and this area is a great location for travelers access to any places of Istanbul. The space... More

I came back this hotel last year, after 2-3 yrs of closure by unreasonable governmental order. Then, when they reopened this accommodation, the deal went even better and affordable. That is exactly why I wanted to submit my review for this hotel again. The biggest change is; They used to charge the breakfast buffet (for 18 euros if I remember... More

Our room was very comfortable, big and nicely decorated with a balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel's location is within walking distance to Karaköy port, galata tower and the train. The only downside was it was a bit noisy due to piling/construction work near the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
